Rover 2 RB9X GTX Shoe delivers waterproof confidence and steady traction on any trail
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve worn the Rover 2 RB9X GTX through mud, wet roots, and long, sloppy miles, and it’s been rock solid. The BOA closure stays put, the CORDURA upper takes real abuse, and the RB9X outsole grips far better than most waterproof hikers I’ve used."
We turn to the Icebug Rover 2 RB9X GTX Shoe when the weather refuses to cooperate but the trail still calls. With a PFAS-free GORE-TEX membrane, the shoe stays dry through downpours, muddy hillsides, and early morning dew. Sliding in is easy, and a twist of the BOA Fit System locks in a consistent, comfortable hold that keeps us moving without fussing with laces.
Its recycled CORDURA ripstop upper handles scrapes, brush, and rocky approaches, while a TPU mudguard shields the lower foot from trail debris. Beneath it all, the RB9X rubber outsole grips reliably on wet slabs, root clusters, and variable terrain. Full cushioning and a stable flex design keep long hikes feeling steady, whether we’re exploring mixed trails or navigating rugged off-trail sections.
