Imagine the most slippery black ice you've ever encounter. Put these things on, and you could run ladder drills on them no problem. It's incredibly. Definitely more of a winter road or packed snow trail shoe. They're waterproof, but since they are low tops and you'd get snow in your shoes immediately in anything deeper than 3 inches.
