Hunter Field Huntress Boot - Women's
A huntress' edge.
Dendrology isn't all research papers, counting fossilized tree rings, and studying botanical species from the safety of a classroom—it also involves mud up to your ankles, the crisp sound of songbirds in the forest canopy, and a ceaseless awe of the woodland thicket ecosystem. So while you're mucking through mossy coppice and fallen evergreens, just know you can count on the waterproof durability of the Hunter Boots Women's Field Huntress Boot to get you through the day, comfortably of course.
Different from last year's edition, the Huntress features a redesigned upper pattern that flatters with genteel ease. Crafted with a supple, rubber construction, this boot provides the utmost waterproof protection necessary for trekking through the timbered backwoods while the sturdy argyle sole ensures ample traction in slick situations. What is most notable is that the Huntress differentiates itself from the pack with its slightly shorter leg length and slightly wider instep—both ultimately prevent unwanted pinching and discomfort. The semi-matte finish not only ensures versatility, but it establishes a classic patina that evokes imagery of elegant royalty and down-to-earth character.
- Wider calf
- Shorter shaft height
- Waterproof rubber
- Sturdy argyll sole
- Semi-matte finish
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've been wanting some Hunter Wellies for ages. The shaft of the original version is too tall and narrow for my 5'2" frame and athletic calves. so I was thrilled to discover the Huntress design, shorter and wider. They are the perfect combination ... sturdy, utilitarian, excellent craftsmanship, clean design. I wear a 6 1/2 and bought a 7, which leaves room for a cushy pair of Smartwools. There's also a wee bit of arch support. I am exceptionally pleased and can't wait to go mucking about in the garden.

nice rain boots
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I love my hunter rain boots, they certainly keep my feet dry. Although, they don't keep my feet super warm in really cold weather. But for milder weather, they work well. I wear a size 7.5 - 8 and ordered an 8.
Great rain boots
Love the color. They run large. I normally wear a 9, but purchased an 8. The wide leg is nice since I have large calves. I do wish they were a little taller. I pictured them coming up closer to the knee, but they're not quite that tall. Great for rainy weather, but are not made for warmth, so not great in the snow!
