Not only is this jacket the drip it also keeps you dry in torrential downpours. The hood is not there for show it actually covers your noggin and keeps the wind and rain off your head/face. Great to layer over a fleece vest to keep you dry and warm. Wore it in Florida bass fishing and in Utah looking for trophy browns on the Green River and it worked flawlessly in both climates. Just what I needed and great purchase.
