Hoka One OneClifton 4 Running Shoe - Men's

A different kind of manual transmission.

If you've ever been given the opportunity to drive a brand-new sports car, then you're familiar with how smooth and easy it is to transition from first to second. So for a moment, consider the Hoka One One Men's Clifton 4 Running Shoe as a sporster for your foot. Think of it this way: you simply provide the fuel and the Clifton is the vehicle that gets you to your choice in destination.

Now, if you had an unsavory experience or read some malcontent reviews over the Clifton 3, know that the Clifton 4 features a bevy of changes. To start, the Clifton 4 is equipped with a wider midfoot for enhanced comfort, while the newly redesigned mesh upper offers enhanced breathability and a better overall fit. Additionally, the improved EVA midsole maintains longevity and has better energy return than the Clifton 3, so you're able to uptick the miles and enjoy the ride. And, in typical Hoka One One fashion, the Clifton 4 is endowed with the Meta Rocker geometry, which propels your stride, and a 5mm drop maintains that low-impact feel you've come to know and love from Hoka.

  • A lightweight shoe for road running varied distances
  • Mesh upper features plush collar for comfort
  • Widened midfoot prevents blisters or hot spots
  • Well-balanced midsole maintains shock attenuation
  • Rubber outsole doesn't obstruct lightweight feel

I'm not a runner. I hate running! But these shoes are my favorite shoe ever. Any of the HOKA shoes are extremely comfortable. They run a little small, so order one size up from what you normally wear. You'll never want to take them off.

Great shoe ! I have two pairs I alternate and have run 5 races in them in addition to training . Very slightly wider than Clifton 3’s and I really like the updated insole .

Mattress Molded Into Shoe

Not a pro runner and not a friend of this shoe. If I want to run on a matress, I'd stay home and run on my bed.

Each step I sink like I'm running in sand, which means I'm losing energy. It doesn't propel me forward as many suggest, it tends to put me in the back seat of the shoe. 20 miles and I've decided it's a great relaxing shoe for post long run.

I gave it two stars only because I did like the material and blue color.

I'll stick to my Altra Paradigm when in need of max cushion for the road.

I had the previous version of the Cliftons and replaced them with these. They're great. I had only once complaint with the old ones. They were too hot. They fixed that issue with these and they're a lighter airier version.
