Great "Active" Ski Glove
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Great overall glove that will last with care, the leather definitely loves the extra balm. Reading other reviews I can relate to the cold hands people describe where I've experienced this when standing still in long lift lines, in the wind or on slow chair lifts. Unless you're charging groomers/bump or tree runs, I wouldn't consider these my go to "resort" gloves. Haven't had any warmth issues with the gloves even in single digit temperatures (F), as long as I'm actively skiing or touring in them. But I did take the advice of other reviews and got a size larger to utilize glove liners which helps on extra windy days and single digit temps. The water resistance is just that...resistant. If you decide to throw your skis on your shoulder to hike the ridge, definitely get all the ice/snow off your tips or your gloves will get soaked. I'd still pack a second pair of gloves for the day, would love to see Hestra throw in the Czone membrane into these. The soft flex and dexterity is the best I've experienced in a ski glove and the thick back hand padding helped me win a fight with some tree branches. Bottom line, I love skiing with these gloves on most west coast days but keep a set of Goretex mittens on the side for chasing storms and powder.

Love Hestra Fall Line but the size ?
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I have/have had 6/7 pair of Hestra gloves and have loved them all! Only glove I wear for skiing. All are size 9 and this years charcoal size 9 was way to big. Not sure if the cut or size changed or if they were tagged with the wrong size but they were a full size to large. Had to return them but will get another pair next year. Fingers crossed size 9 will fit properly.

Great Gloves For My Son!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these gloves for my son. (Weight/Height etc. are his) My son said these gloves worked amazing in the colder temperatures than we were used to at The Summit at Snoqualmie In Washington (5-15 degrees fahrenheit) and in the warmer temperatures in Sun Valley in Idaho (35-45 Degrees fahrenheit). He said the gloves are warm in cold conditions but not to hot in warmer conditions and very comfortable. The stitching and leather quality is fantastic. The leather balm that comes with the gloves worked great, The water beaded up and went right off. Overall great gloves, highly recommend!

Beautiful, but not warm. Run small.
- Familiarity:

These are gorgeous gloves. They look and feel like a million bucks, but they are not warm. I think mine are the older (softer) goatskin version. Dexterity is the best of any glove I've used, however the insulation packs-out fairly quickly, and even treated the water resistance is limited. Once you find the right size (size up), the quality, fit and feel are top notch. I've had a couple pairs and they have held up well despite the softer leather. These work for me at 25° and up if it's not wet or too windy. I have some vertical cut mittens that I use below 25° and those (although also not particularly warm) see much more action than these gloves (they're really versatile for a mitten since the dexterity is so good). If you're in a colder region (I'm in mostly in VT) and/or have trouble staying warm, and you're looking one warm & dry set of gloves ? these are NOT them. If you want to have a sweet pair of gloves to wear on the bluebird days, and don't mind spending some dough, these are a great choice.

Workhorse glove!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have about seven seasons (150+) days on these and they?re still going strong. Great dexterity and good warmth for PNW (+20F and warmer). Take care of the leather and these things go forever. I use them on backcountry tours and get through the first 5-6 runs of the day before I switch to a dry pair (after getting them soaked taking on/off skins, etc)?they stay warm, but you can eventually soak them through. Zero issues skiing a full 8 hour day at the resort!

Horrible gloves
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
They look great and i?ve seen them everywhere and am familiar with the brand name. After 1/2 season last year and the same this year, these gloves are packed out and my fingers get brutally cold, especially because it take very little snow for dampness to seep into and through the glove. I felt compelled to warn others even though most love this glove - even I can?t understand it. I need to stick to my Swamy gloves that never pack out and take much colder conditions with no issues.

Well made but sizing an issue
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wear size 9 in my Hestra gloves and mittens and they fit perfectly. I bought these in size 9 as well; the finger length is right but the size of the glove, especially around the palm, is too small given the amount of insulation. The gloves are very tight on my hands reducing dexterity as well as compromising the warmth. I suggest trying a size larger than your normal size.

To cold
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought the gloves for thinking I would love them rode the in about 40-20 degrees weren?t bad at all. I am from Wisconsin and I used them anything from 19-0 degrees my hands were numb even with hand warmers tried everything. I got mittens the year after thinking they would be better exact same kind and still the exact same problems! If you want an awesome spring ski glove this is perfect!! I would love to have refund but they won?t refund and I just bought them last year!

Best glove for all of it
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I?ve been using this glove for 12 years. On my second pair. My first pair is still serviceable but they are a little ripe after a decade of 60+ day seasons. They?ve been everywhere with me. Japan, BC backcountry, Sierras, Montana, Chamonix, Verbier, you name it. Blower pow days, frigid mornings, wet warm days. So durable, comfortable, warm and with the investment since they can be worn for 5+ years and still are as good as the first day. Even better over time when they break in. Def need to wax and condition them From time to time which keeps them in great condition.
