HestraCzone Mountain Glove

You've picked out a gnarly line; focus on it, not the glove.

Leather and twill are better when together, especially in the burly Hestra Czone Mountain Glove. Add a waterproof membrane and fiberfill insulation, and you have a glove that performs like mad and looks great doing it. It might be hard to concentrate on your line, though, with all that leathery, twilly goodness at hand.

  • Impregnated Army goat leather gives you that inimitable feel of leather and high performance
  • Oil tacky Army goat palm is soft and supple for easy movement
  • Upper section has melange wind- and waterproof twill that toughs it out in winter gales and dumps
  • Czone waterproof breathable insert keeps the entire hand dry when the flakes fall
  • Fiberfill insulation warms the fingers to the bone
  • Bemberg polyester lining adds warmth right next to your skin
  • Snow lock adjustment keeps cuff secure and protects against leaks and drafts
  • Hestra handcuffs keep your gloves together; snap hook attachment lets them hang out when you need free hands

Loving the Czone

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 10

I use this as my storm day/cold day glove. It has hit the mark on the days that it has seen action. Working inside out, the loft of the insulation and the lining make for an excellent combination when the weather turns sour. The exterior is a great mix of waterproof fabric & leather. But with all these features it doesn't feel as though you lost all your dexterity and have to fumble around with zippers, snaps, etc. Finally, the cuff & closure are a great blend of form and function. I'm an under the cuff guy when it comes to gloves, so these fit nicely under the cuff with a natural waist at the closure of the coat to cinch up to keep the elements out. But I can see them working well as an over the cuff option.

Well designed glove, looking forward to many days on the mtn with this glove.

Warm - Lots of Nice Features

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Purchased these for skiing. Took them out in MA and UT (very different conditions) and they were very warm on cold days in the northeast, and I didn't feel like I needed to take them off on a sunny day in UT.

They are long enough to tuck comfortably into a shell (or over one) and the wrist straps and clip grommets make them hard to lose.

Do these gloves have wrist straps?

Yes, it is tucked into the glove in this picture but it does have wrist-keepers.

Very cozy gloves and are very multi-purpose, pending on what the intended use is. I wear wrist guards underneath these glove and there were no issues sliding the gloves on or discomfort.

Took them out skiing in Northern NH. 10 degrees, blowing winds, no liners. All went great. Hands stayed comfortable the whole time. My hands typically get really cold quickly. Had been using mittens for years, but wanted something I could use for fixing my kids equipment without having to take off my mittens and freeze. Had tried the Hestra Guide glove but my hands got way too cold in them. Only used them that one time, but they performed great for me.
