The jacket quickly gets wet

Got into it in the rain a few times and the sleeves instantly get wet through. My shoulders are wet in 20 minutes. Have to take waterproof poncho all the time. Don’t go camping with it. But looks good and protects from wind.

Best "in town", not for backcountry

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

This is a jacket for "in town", i.e., car to grocery store and back or dog walking or the like.

It is not for the backcountry - not if you consider that staying dry can be a life/death situation anyway. The ability to stay dry is no longer a "nice to have" if one is over 10 miles from the car - it is a requirement and this jacket fails that.

It easily wets out in downpours and the zippers jam perfectly every damn time when the fabric is wet - possibly the WORST time a rain jacket could jam. And it does it every time.

The hood is too shallow front to back; the cuff velcro threading comes unraveled easily; does not breathe well at all - even in quite mild 40-50F temps.

Basically, it has been replaced because this is not a tool I want to trust my life with in the backcountry. If you want a good looking jacket to run around town in - this is your jacket. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

    Perfect light weight rain/wind jacket

Because its so light weight and packs down to nothing, I pretty much take it everywhere I go. I coach on Mt Hood in the summer in the heat, rain, wind, snow...sometimes on the same day. This is the go to crazy PNW Mt Hood weather jacket.

    Perfect Lightweight Rain Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

I am a fly fishing guide in Colorado all summer and need to have a reliable rain jacket that I can store in my small pack. This jacket has been perfect for just that. I can fold the jacket up very small and I don't even notice that it is in my fishing bag or backpack. Not only is is very lightweight and packable but it is very good at doing what it was made for, keeping you dry. I have used the Loke Jacket in monsoon downpours and always been dry. I definitely recommend this product and for $100 you can go wrong.

Living and training in Seattle, I've had ample opportunities to put rain jackets through the ringer, and this one proved worthy. It's lightweight so I can comfortably wear it on a trail run or peak ascent without being bothered by bulk, and it packs down into a fraction of its size to allow for easy storage in a running pack or similar small bag. On top of that, i'll happily wear it around town as a normal rain coat and its fit allows for a good style, especially in these rain-centric parts of the world...
