Way too small and poor quality
buyer beware - way to small and poor quality for the amount of $$$

Warm for the weight; not race cut
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
On sizing: with a 39" chest and 32" waist, I was hoping to be snug and aero in a Euro Medium. Nope. Wearing a lightweight longsleeve jersey and no baselayer, the jacket wasn't too loose but it wasn't snug either. I have plenty of room for layers underneath, but it isn't optimized aerodynamically, which is disappointing for an item with "race" in the name and an abundance of relatively bulky stretch panels. On waterproofing/warmth: I won't comment on waterproofing except to say that waterproofing is easy -- a .2 cent trash bag is waterproof -- it's the breathability that makes it worth the money. On a climb with 8-15% grades with intermittent showers, at about 63F, I had to take off the jacket; leaving it on unzipped had my arms damp with sweat. Once the temperature got down into the 50s and the grades relaxed, the jacket could cope with the body heat being generated. The wind-blocking qualities are excellent, and because Shakedry doesn't have an evaporative effect on the outer surface, the jacket was very warm for its weight in gusty winds. The lack of a double zip was almost a deal breaker, and makes getting stuff out of jersey pockets a little annoying. But it easily fits into a jersey pocket when rolled up. If this cost $100, I'd give it 5 stars; but for $300, it falls short.
