C5 Gore Windstopper Insulated Jacket

Winter can be a tough time to ride, but with the right layers you can keep up your training routine. The Gore Wear Men's C5 Gore Windstopper Insulated Jacket helps you retain your body heat while allowing you to move and breathe like you aren't wearing a giant parka. This jacket features a Gore Windstopper membrane that protects you from the chafing and heat-stealing power of the wind, while PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active traps in warmth without restricting your movement in the cockpit. The tall, close-fit collar and fitted hem keep wind out of the likely access points while the full-zip front allows you to vent the jacket or layer as necessary. A reflective print helps you stay visible in the low-light conditions that tend to come along with chilly weather, so you can keep riding at dawn or dusk.

  • Insulated jacket for cold-weather cycling
  • Gore Windstopper membrane seals out wind
  • Polartec Alpha insulates against the cold
  • Water-resistant fabric deflects light precipitation
  • Tall, close-fit collar minimizes drafts
  • Reflective print enhances visibility in low light
  • Three zippered pockets secure ride essentials

Very odd fit, and not well-insulated.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've worn Gore bike products for at least 15 years so I'm very familiar with their general fit and make. This jacket has the oddest fit. The zip collar is way too tight for my neck (16.5

I had same problem, plus no zip on pits, like on my older gore products. Found better success with c5 thermal trail. Better fit and less money, just rode in 25 degree weather with only a base. Confusing, because Gore says that jacket is for cool, not cold weather. But is works.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Arm Length:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
