great charger

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

It was on sale so I gave it a shot based on the reviews. Did a test run in the sun in the back yard. This thing really works well. I'm surprised how fast it charges. It does need somewhat direct sun if directly plugged into a phone. Can't wait to try it on a hike after the state releases us from captivity. FREEDOM

Excited to use this summer backpacking!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My brother in law (Josh Lowel) uses Goal Zero products all the time while filming. I bought one as a present to myself & I’m excited to use it this summer on an extended backpacking trip we have planned all over Souther Utah! I will use it here in about 2 weeks and let you know what I think & how it went!

This is such an egregious name drop...

Durable !

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These things are low key bombproof, I have dropped em from my car and strapped it on my pack on a 5 day bike packing trip!

Durable and easy to use

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This panel is quick to set up and charge, and completely intuitive to use. Juice up your phone or any other USB accessory in the backcountry for some added amenities or tunes while you enjoy some solitude.

Tough solar charger

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super durable and scratch resistant panel. Abused and beaten on for almost a month straight and works great. Would highly recommend getting a coupling battery pack as it will charge your phone much quicker than trying to charge another brand of battery pack.

    Excited!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Sad to say I have only gotten to use it twice so far, briefly. On a two week trip I had a generic charger box already charged up from home that lasted a week and used the panel to charge the box up again. Left it on my tent while I was out during the day and the box was fully charged when I came back.

The other time was just while working during the day to charge a portable speaker. Took a couple hours and the speaker was back to life!

Excited to give this thing more extensive use!!

    impressed

This thing is awesome. Ordered it a couple weeks ago and finally got the chance to use it, and I am more than stoked! We went for a camping trip at Lake Powell, and this thing really did wonders charging my phone so we constantly had music. In the peak hours of sunlight it charged my phone to 90 percent within 2 hours, no joke. Great addition to my camping and backpacking set up.

Great gift for someone who has everythin

Finally got around to using this after getting it for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. It is sooo cool, and works sooo well! I used it to charge my Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 lantern and it charged it so fast. We also used it to charge a cell phone and that went a little slower. We plugged both items directly into the USB chord on the Panel. When we went on a day hike we left the panel and the lantern on the dashboard of the car facing the sun and the lantern was fully charged when we got back.
Prior to this my boyfriend took it on a 3 week long roadtrip/camping trip and he said it worked great, a much better alternative than using the car port charger.

This makes for a great gift for a camper who has everything!

    Really good.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The product is excellent and charges very fast my devices.

I use it with a Petzl R+ flashlight and works very well.

Only that 12 volts does not work, I only can use it to charge USB devices.

    Really good.

      Great gear!

I grabbed the Nomad 7 for a Denali climb. I used it with a Guide 10 to keep a full frame camera charged as well as and iPhone and an InReach Explorer. Had no problems even with the extreme temperatures, crammed packing, and low light days. Loved it pretty much across the board and will continue with it for smaller excursions now that Denali is checked off the list (:

      Good combo, lightweight

Nomad 7 and Guide 10 are the perfect little combo to keep the electronic addiction going in the wild. This combo weighs in at 580g which is acceptable if you want to keep taking pictures all day on your adventure.

        Must Have

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Whether you spend enough time in the outdoors or just enjoy the luxury of charging pretty much any device you need to, this panel is a great addition to the kit. I personally have a couple different types of Goal Zero batteries to charge with it and charge my camera and phone as well. If you are looking to go above and beyond throw a set of those in as well and you will be poring cocktails in style in the desert, woods, or anywhere you please.

        Must have for backcounty electronics

This solar panel has saved me on more than one occasion, and it will save you too whether you just need to take more pictures, bump some tunes, or call your mom cause you are being chased by sasquatch.

If you take anything electronic with you when you camp or backpack then this is something you need to add to your quiver.

P.S. Don't forget to tell your mom you love her before entering sasquatch country.
