These are great gloves for shoulder season fishing. Enough coverage to block the wind out, and great functionality with the thumb and forefinger slits. Wouldn't recommend them for winter fishing, as they are pretty thin. However, these are super easy to throw in a pack/pocket for some extra hand warmth in case some nasty weather rolls through.

great for photographers, too

Great for photographers and really just great for life. I love the versatility with the full mitten, just the fingers, and then being open to peel back the fore finger and thumb. I realize these are meant for tying flies and other fine details, but let's be honest, if you were going to buy any of those "e-tip" kind of gloves, they never work properly, and it's best to just have access to those fingers.

Mild Fall gloves

Good gloves for mildly cool fall days. Dry quickly.
