Rugged trail protection.

From epic trail rides to rowdy downhill runs, the Giro Remedy X2 Glove is optimized for the demands of mountain biking with its full-finger coverage and shock absorption. Poron XRD protection remains flexible until impact, at which point it stiffens up to disperse damaging forces from crushing your hand. This impact-absorbing material is placed along the knuckles, outer panels, and bottom, helping your hands survive the rigors of nasty crashes and trail-scraping slides.

Although it's equipped with impact protection, the Remedy X2 retains excellent bar feel with its AX Suede synthetic leather palm. This smooth-wearing fabric maintains comfort and flexibility desired for long days on the trail. Lightweight, four-way stretch uppers emphasize breathability, so your hands don't soak in perspiration. Double-stitched seams withstand the stress and abrasion of trail riding.

  • Burly shock absorption for rugged trail rides
  • Poron XRD protects your hands from damaging impact
  • AX Suede synthetic leather palm maintains flexibility
  • Lightweight, four-way stretch upper for breathability
  • Double-stitched seams prevent rips and tears

Great Gloves

My husband just got these and loves riding in them!

    Great gloves

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

They do fall apart with time but I feel that is to be expected with gloves that are as dexterous as these.

    Cheap Gloves

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Well you get what you pay for. After two weeks of riding they have ripped and are coming apart in multiple places. I guess they're still technically gloves.

    Wrong size

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I'm 5' 8", 140 lbs and by the sizing chart I'm at the upper end of a medium. I ordered a large. What I received was marked as large but seemed to be a small palm size w/longer fingers. I ordered gloves from Giro in the past and they were much more true to size than the recent order.

    the stitches started to separate

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The stitches started to separate within two weeks of use, I contacted Giro to claim warranty but they never replied.

Besides that, the gloves are really comfortable and well ventilated.

I had the exact same thing within 4 rides. Backcountry is warranting them tho and I'm hoping the second pair are better. I really like the gloves, they aren't perfect in the finger tips but the protection on the edge of my hand on knuckles is really nice and somewhat unique.

    Good but a little flimsy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These have a good fit, but a narrow opening (really have to tug them on when it comes to the palm of the hand. I wouldn't size up though.

The vermillion color is more fluorescent red than orange (Giro "vermillion" seems to vary a bit between products - it can be bright orange to red, depending).

I'm on my second pair. The suede on the first pair ripped right along the edge of the pull tab the second time I used them. Competitive Cyclist was awesome about replacing them and I haven't had any issues with the new pair. They still feel a little fragile when pulling them on, but so far so good.

The padding is unobtrusive and the glove seems to breathe well. I'd rate much higher if the material didn't seem so weak.

Follow up - the second pair ripped in the exact same place as the first. While pulling on with the tab, the microsuede around the cuff tore almost completely off. I've had plenty of gloves with superficial damage and wear but I've never had gloves fall apart like these.

    I Glove It.

Are they as good as the original Lethal Weapon? NO, but I can't think of anything that is...except maybe a Childish Gambino album. What I'm trying to say is, these are the third best gloves in my life.

I wasn't much of a bike glover, in fact I was starting to think I was too old to bike anymore...Until I found the Giro Remedy X2 Gloves, I like that they fit snugly, they vent well, and the pads protect in all of the danger points.

They have proven to me, that I am indeed "[not] too old for this."

Update: After a season of not-so-frequent use the seams have started to come undone. They're still functional but they are coming a bit unraveled.

    Remedy X2 Glove

Bought these as a gift and they get the job done! Nice sturdy glove with plenty of movement and protection.

      Good Gloves with Some Pause

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Large

Second set of Giro gloves that I've had and the Remedy has been pretty solid so far. The ventilation is surprisingly good and the padding places itself well without being bulky. The sizing feels smaller at first but breaks in a bit while wearing. Beware of the wear as the seam failing is a thing as the previous gloves that I had from Giro suffered around the finger seams in about a couple months. Will update after more time.

Seams come apart quickly and easily.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

After having these for a month the seams on both hands are coming apart, this is without any undo trauma to the gloves. Would not recommend.

      Excellent Gloves

I have used many glove brands in the past, and these take the cake. The knuckle and wrist protection are superb without adding weight or bulk. The thin material between the fingers keep them relatively cool. The palms are padded just right to give the perfect balance between feel and protection. The pull-on tab at the wrist is a smart design making them easy to pull on with the other glove on. I highly recommend!
