Great MTB/Gravel Shoes!
- Fit: True to size
These have been great. Bought these specifically for gravel and liked them so much I started using them for all my non-road (SPD-SL) riding. The velcro straps provide great support combining the BOA dial.

Upon unboxing i was really feeling these shoes. the hi-vis Lime, plus the feel of the material is quality. However, sizing is off in my opinion. I ordered what I thought would be my size. Also, these shoes run narrow.
I now have about 200 miles in these shoes, so I wanted to leave a review on their performance so far. After wearing-through my older Shimano spd shoes, I wanted to switch things up and try these Giros since I had heard good things. They have been great so far - I like that they come with 3 different levels of Arch support, which can be quickly and easily swapped via Velcro on the insole. The BOA system has been solid so far and I do thing that combined with the two Velcro straps, you can get a great customized fit out of these shoes. They take a little time to break in to make them "yours", but are certainly comfortable out of the box. The only thing I would change immediately would be to ensure that the cleats are recessed enough in the sole that they don't touch the ground when you walk around. Unfortunately the cleats do touch the ground, even when the shoes are brand new - this isn't a huge issue, unless you plan to walk around on hardwood floors, but it is something that I feel makes them a 4 star vs 5 star.
Thanks for mentioning the cleat clearance issue.
Great shoe. Reasonably light weight and comfortable to walk in, but also very stiff so your transfer of power is not compromised. I like the BOA closure combined with the techlace system. I am able to dial in a great fit with this combination. Comes with 3 different size changeable arch supports for the insole. I sized-up one size with this model. I went with the size 48.
What was the shoe you had before you sized up for this one? Was it also a Giro, or a different brand?
