Sleek and slippery.
The Giro Advantage 2 Helmet shaves precious time when every millisecond counts. Its efficient teardrop shape cuts drag in the aero position, allowing you to gain a leg up on the competition during time trial and triathlon events, as evidenced by its use with top cycling pros.
The Advantage 2's In-Mold construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell to a crash-absorbing foam liner. The result is better sculpted ventilation, enhanced crash protection, and lightweight performance. Its Wind Tunnel ventilation actively moves heat off your head, courtesy of five deep vents at the frontside, which channel air through the rear exhaust ports. Moreover, you'll appreciate the Roc Loc 5 fit system for its snug, ultra-precise fit with the simple twist of its micro-adjustable dial. This fit system also leverages a three-position bracket with 15mm of vertical adjustment, ensuring a near-custom fit without excess slop or uncomfortable pressure points.

So which colors here are flat? Or are any of them? Thanks!
None of these colors are in the matte or flat colorway. Unfortunately we have sold out of that option on this particular helmet. Take a look at the Chrono from Catlike. They offer a few different colors in Matte. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Lots of bang for the buck
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
A great aero helmet for the money
Slippery in the wind, light on Wallets
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
In a day when snub nosed aero helmets seem to be all the rage, its easy to overlook the tried and true design of the Giro Advantage. While helmets such as the Air Attack may be better suited to the wide range of wind conditions road racers face, if you're looking to do a triathlon or the race of truth 40k TT, you need one of these in your quiver. There is a reason why this design is one of the most widely used helmets at time trials and triathlons alike. The long tail noticeably smooths airflow across your back, and the retention system keeps the helmet predictably in place when tucking down in the aerobars. The shell is not well ventilated compared to a standard helmet, but it worked well enough in 100+ degree heat of Phoenix, AZ for me.
Pros: very aerodynamic a low yaw angles, looks super hardcore in race photos
Cons: heavier than standard helmets, not super well ventilated, no visor
this company has been great and the product i purchased came quickly and in great shape. I have had previous giro advantage helmets and this one is awesome. everybody should get this if they want to go faster. haha
