Silence the cold.

We thought long and hard about how to describe the Giordana Windtex Hannibal Face Mask—and scared ourselves by thinking about the movie. Despite our fear, the Hannibal Face Mask keeps your face and ears covered and does a fantastic job of warming the air before it enters your lungs, thus making the ride home much more pleasant.

Excellent

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this when it's below freezing and it does the job. It remains breathable and covers everything it needs to. One complaint is the velcro should be reversed as the exposed hook side digs into your jacket.

Help for reducing the fogging issues:

Used in combo. with any of Oakley's vented lenses, it's a 'help' for the fogging issues while wearing face coverings.

Help for reducing the fogging issues:

Buy it if you plan to ride in the cold!

    • Fit: True to size

It works great in terms of breathing warm air through the mask. Your lungs are really protected from the direct cold air. It also protects the cheeks and goes down around the neck slightly which offers some protection there as well. It is attached via velcro so is adjustable. It doesn't really cover the ears but this is solved by wearing an ear band to solve that problem. One last comment, I did experience a slight problem in that when I breathed out through the masks it would tend to fog up my road glasses. This was very annoying. So I would suggest glasses that really have good vents to prevent fogging.

Another 'help' with the fogging issue, try using Oakley's *Hydrophobic lens cleaner. It helps to shed water, and helps (not always eliminate completely, but helps) with the fogging. Available from Oakley.

If you wear glasses or goggles...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

No good. I wear glasses. I slapped it on, fits well, etc.. but when exhaling the air vented right up under my eyes and fogged my lenses. Useless.

This seems to be a problem inherent to most all 'face covers'; try using Oakley's *Hydrophobic lens cleaner...it not only repels rain, it helps reduce fogging.

Oakley does offer anti-fogging lenses, mostly for skiing, but...

DebbieC, do you work for Oakley? A lot of advertising coming from your MULTIPLE posts. I think we get the idea.

Yes. But I think she is just trying to help.

    Nice

Made in Italy. Windtex. Odd, but really useful for those bloody cold days (and skiing).
