Fox Racing Demo DH Shorts - Men's

Downhill's not only hard on the body and bike, but clothing too. Because of this, Fox Racing built its Demo DH Shorts to be super tough and handle the abuse of gravity riding.

This means a 600D-polyester main body fabric that's designed for maximum abrasion-resistance. Keeping the Demo DH in place is an adjustable front ratchet closure that provides a custom fit and bombproof durability. It also ensures no more popped buttons when crouched off the back, and it's connected to a wide, semi-elastic waistband.

To further enhance comfort when riding resorts and parks, Fox Racing gave the Demo DH a cut that favors the downhill riding position, what it calls RAP or (rider attack position). The quick-dry polyester ensures cool, dry comfort, which is boosted by stretch mesh panels to make sure air circulates. The Demo DH shorts are also bristling with pocket space so you can bring along the essentials to keep you cranking.

Avoid these

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These shorts are absolutely terrible. The are incredibly hot, run a little small, and are very restricting. The fabric is super tough and very uncomfortable plus they only have one pocket. I really wish I could get rid of these.

tough fabric, not too comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: medium 32

does the job but not comfy for me (it's like wearing an empty sack of rice), no padded liner as expected, wish I'd returned them but wifey already washed it, bummer

Great Shorts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A lot of reviews on other sites claim they are noisy, and not that great to pedal in. That may be true, but the Demo series isn't made to be enduro or cross country gear in my opinion.

I would say don't buy the Demo series if you want something breathable and comfortable to pedal in. I do it all the time because I love the feel but some people can't handle that the fabric doesn't breathe all too well.

The fabric is however, super durable and protective, I've taken a couple pretty nasty crashes (a couple in rock gardens) in these and the fabric hasn't ripped and is in fact quite protective. They are comfy and feel great to ride in.

If you are looking for a good downhill short I would recommend these.

I wear a pant size 32 and got a size 34 in these because I wear padded shorts and like a little bit looser feel and they fit great.
