Fischer fed its Ranger series well while everyone was out enjoying the summer months, and now it's returned fatter than ever, just in time for winter. The newest addition to the family, the Ranger 122 Ski, is the plumpest yet, eager to blast through deep stashes and indulge your gluttony for big lines. Devour the fresh stuff with the Ranger 122's surfy tips and tails and solid camber underfoot; you'll be able to smear your way through pillowy tree lines and steep, bottomless chutes with Fischer's balanced Freeski Rocker construction.
Like its more svelte siblings, the Ranger 122 is carved from beech and poplar, which comes prepared to match your enthusiasm for storms that exceed predictions, delivering a nimble, poppy feel that doesn't turn skittish on thicker, windblown stuff. This stable but responsive feel comes courtesy of Fischer's proprietary Air Tec honeycomb pattern. Fischer mills the wood core to eliminate excess material without sacrificing the ski's structural integrity and stiffness. When paired with the ski's sandwich sidewall construction, this results in a burly ski that won't abandon you when you drop in without thinking first. It also means that the Ranger 122 isn't just a storm day ski that'll bail at the first sign of chop or day-old pow.
