Solid Boots, Great entry level BC boot.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These are great entry level boots. Solid for the beginner/ beginnermediate nordic skier. The boots break in well and did not cause me any hot spots or soreness. As you break the boots in you will be able to get the laces tighter each time you wear them. The boots are warm and cozy on my feet. I also wear a thicker more classic/ old school style wool ski sock when nordic skiing versus downhill skiing. The only issue I found was that they are a bit voluminous, a small shim under the foot bed fixed this volume issue. Length-wise I found them to be true to size.

Supportive boots, difficult break-in

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

To be fair, this is my first pair of back country boots. I normally make my laces pretty snug. After a few uses (short ski trips 30 -60 min) started to really hurt at the base of my toes where they fold across the top of my foot. I almost returned them. Tried loosening the laces a lot in that area, and that helped quite a bit. I will probably wear tape across my foot for longer trips. Hopefully they will break in and I won't need the tape forever!
