Designed for cross-country riders and racers who are spinally flexible, what Fi'zi:k dubs Snakes, the Fi'zi:k Tundra M1 Saddle features a flat shape that's ideal for maximizing power output by adjusting your position in the saddle. According to Fi'zi:k's Spine Concept Fit system, Snakes are able to reduce pressure on sensitive tissue areas by adjusting weight to the sit bones. Because of the inherent spinal flexibility displayed by these riders, the Tundra M1 Saddle doesn't feature a center channel cut-out, instead relying on a flat shape to maximize rider control and confidence.
Its relatively long, 290-millimeter running length provides ample space to move fore and aft when you're positioning yourself for varying terrain features and obstacles. In conjunction with a narrow 125-millimeter width, you'll be able to move your hips freely when pedaling quickly in racing and riding scenarios. Moreover, you'll find Fi'zi:k's signature Wingflex Technology, which further aides in leg and hip movement by allowing a bit of extra downward flex.
Staying true to its intended cross-country use, the Tundra M1 Saddle is pretty darn light, weighing in at 150-grams. Though it gains a measly five grams over the feathery Tundra 00, the M1 uses carbon braded rails for an optimum mix of lightweight performance and trail-worthy robustness, especially considering its extra layer of carbon fiber for added durability and clamping security. However, please note that Fi'zi:k's carbon rails aren't designed for use with ICS compatible saddle bags and lights.
