Durable

I actually used this to wrap my car steering wheel, as it was disintegrating. Going on 3 months now and it still looks like it did when I put it on. I'm impressed--this will be the next tape going on my handlebars.

Best White Bar Tape

Fizik bar tape is pretty much the only tape out there that will stay white. When it gets dirty, just give it a rub down with a rag and some cleaning solution and it's like new again!

No-nonsense Bartape

The best ever? Close.

great tape

love this tape! It has a very comfortable padding and looks sleek (i got the black color). Installation was a breeze as well. I'd definitely purchase this bar tape again!

Leather look/feel, but synthetic

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Always feels good to look down at your handle bars to see nice, clean, new tape. I use this tape (in red) on my Richard Sachs road bike. Nice leather-like look and hand feel, and really lasts. Since I generally don't wear gloves on my road bikes, I do sometimes wish the tape had a bit more padding, but that's usually only on rough chipseal roads when I'm getting a lot of vibration. On good asphalt, I don't think there's anything better.

My New Favorite

I used to be a Lizards fan. However, I wanted something less tacky. So I tried this tape in white (plain), and love it.

First, this tape is thin and almost has a fake leather quality to it. I am not a fan of thick or comfy tape and look for the thinnest stuff out there. This fits the bill.

A lot of reviewers here mention the lack of stretchiness, and I have to agree. However, it stands up to being pulled tight very well. I wrapped 3T Aeronova bars (40cm) and had plenty to spare. Those are shallow bars, so if you have large deep drop bars, it may be an issue.

The other thing to love about this tape is that it is very forgiving for the beginner. I had trouble getting the tape around the bend on my bars and it took a couple of tries. The tape unwound and went back on very nicely and looked good after multiple tries.

If you are looking for a thin, simple tape, I would give these a try.

Tight and Tacky

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Though it's one of the tightest tapes I've ever worked with, it is tremendously durable and tacky. Perfect race tape and it has never let me down.

Sick Tape, Doesn't Get Nasty

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My favorite thing about this tape, other than the price, is that it's so easy to keep clean. It's been my go-to in many colors over the years. It grips really well, too, and doesn't wear thin or flake off like other tapes.

Great tactile feel

If you're looking for any level of padding, then this is probably not for you; however, if you like some tape with a great bar feel and grip, then this is a winner!

I have used this tape for over a decade and it is always my go-to.

My favorite aspect of this tape is that it actually gets sticky when wet, and more so as it gets used. It is a rare day that I change this tape out, because it only gets better with age.

used it for years

I've used this tape for years and it's always awesome. No complaints from me. It's tacky but not squishy.

Great

Great tape, lightweight, good grip, and great color.

Comfy & cheap

Couldn't pass up this deal for under $15 bar tape. Especially being a sucker for perforated bar tape. Fizik makes great tape and even at this price point the tape lives up to the rest. Looks good and rides good lol

Best bar tape ever!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Full disclosure - I work with fizik. This being said, the fizik 2mm tape is still the best bar tape I have ever used. I have the white classic touch and it is still as clean as the first day I put it on. I used to only ride with gloves, but I get enough grip from this tape to ride without. Sweat does not make it slippery in any way, and when I do see it get a little dirty it cleans up super easy with just a soft cloth, warm water and either a little soap or simple green. Cleaning it does not make is discolor or break down. I will never go back to the other brands again. Don't fear the white, embrace it!

It is quite easy to install as well. The video below will show you the best way to install it!

Best bar tape ever!

Great Tape!

I have been using this tape all season on my race bike and I love it. Nice and light. No padding at all, but I do not like a lot of padding so feel was perfect for me. Makes carbon bars even better! Not problem with stretch, but using shallow drop bars. Not sure about colors, but I ordered black and Comp Cyc sent proper color/version. Be careful how you order tho cause there several versions of the same colors: tacky, plain, glossy, etc...

Great tape with a good feel.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The texture and feel of this tape is super durable, looks good, and offers great grip even with sweaty palms. Having a variety of colors is also a nice perk. So from that perspective it works wonderfully. I will say that the microtex does not have a lot of stretch to it so I would advise against using it on dirt drops or very wide bars.
