Dynafit Radical Primaloft Insulated Jacket - Women's

Lightweight insulation for snowy adventures.

Designed to handle any on-snow activity you can think of, the Dynafit Radical Women's Primaloft Insulated Jacket's a light, warm, and breathable outer or midlayer that'll go everywhere with you. Loaded up with 60g Primaloft Gold synthetic insulation inside of a tough and light Pertex Quantum shell, the Radical will keep you warm when the temperatures drop, but its Pontetorto Tecnostretch side panels help moisture escape and give you all the freedom of movement you'll ever need. Throw in some hand pockets, into which you can stuff the Radical for storage, and a warm but low-bulk hood, and you have a jacket that's more than ready for whatever adventure you have lined up.

Great mid layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I love this jacket! I was looking for a light weight mid layer for ski touring/scrambling, and this fits the bill. I wear it as a stand alone jacket on cool days, and as a mid layer under my Dynafit beast goretex jacket when it's really cold or dumping snow. It has stretchy side panels that allow freedom of movement, and a nice tight fitting hood. Dynafit has a bit of a European fit, so most of their products run small, I ordered this in a medium, and it fits well, although I have north face and mammut mid layer primaloft jackets in size small that fit similarly, so that's something to keep in mind.

Great mid layer

The Perfect Mid/Light Insulation Layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: S

This is my go to insulation layer for almost any day. Pair it with a softshell underneath for warmer days or a hardshell under or over when it's a bit more chilly out. The cut is attractive, without being too roomy or too snug. The stretchy side panels are great for range of motion and ventilation while hiking. Super light. Packs down small. Nice hood. Overall winner.

What i love about this jacket

1)it's a very warm mid layer jacket, though it's not in the least bulky, and it's extremely light.
2) It packs really small, so it's the ideal layer to stick in a pack.
3) All season perfect: super warm midlayer in winter, perfect for skiing and backcountry; but also great in the other seasons as an outer layer on hikes, camping, etc.
4) excellent warm and snug hood, the wind won't blow it off
5) looks great on. Hey, that's important!

Notes: true to size, runs a touch large, so size down if in between. Color is more saturated in real life.
