Better than a heli bump.
Give a gal a heli trip and she'll ride for a day; teach her how to tour and she'll ride pow for a lifetime. The Dakine Women's Heli Pro DLX 24L Backpack will carry everything you need for endless backcountry missions with a simple and straightforward design that's comfortable to wear both on the up and down. The women-specific fit consists of S-curved, narrow shoulder straps and a shortened torso length to better fit a woman's torso. The pack is equipped with a large compartment to store extra layers, water, and some food, while a zippered front pocket secures a shovel and probe. When you're bootpacking to the goods, the Heli Pro DLX will carry your board either vertically or horizontally. And if you do score a heli trip, it'll work for that too.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I bought this pack for my wife, who is 5 foot tall with a torso measurement of 15 inches, to do day ski trips. Even though
this pack is seemed the same size as the dawn patrol pack(s/m 23liter), it seems to pack more with ease. There could be a little more webbing on the hip belt for cinching.
There's a little bit of air gap between the pack and shoulder,
wearing a down jacket fills the space somewhat, but I think once she uses it often enough she'll get the straps dialed in.
If not some padding can be added behind the snowboard carrying flap. One little nuisance is the width of the shoulder
strap, being 3"wide, and hitting the arm. Could be a little more contoured in front. My wife is going to fold over 1/2''
and sew it down.
