- Q & A
Larger, but also more functional
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This multi-tool does require a larger space in your bag than other options that fold up, but I prefer that. The tools that fold up often slip or don't hold still while you are trying to make an adjustment. I like this tool because it is solid and adjustments can be precise. It does not include a chain tool, which I also like. I ride with a separate small chain tool because I find the ones included on multi-tools to frequently be useless. There are three extra containers on this tool. One holds the included patch kit, the other holds the extra included bits, and the third I use for a extra masterlink. Took a star off because during the first couple times of getting to the new bits in the extra container, they had a tendency to fly out over the trail. With experience I have figured out how to get to those bits without making a mess. Get this tool if you like a sturdy feel while making those quick adjustments and don't mind making a bit more room. It would also be great for some who travels a lot with their bike and needs a great tool to do the re-assembly.
