Change your cleats!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been really pleased with my Mallet DH's for years. I find that I forget about my cleats. It's easy to become complacent with old worn out cleats, and not really notice how much performance you're missing out on.
I'm always surprised how much more secure the connections between shoes and pedals is when I throw on new cleats.
Long story short, don't neglect your cleats!

Work Great

I usually replace these once a year. Super easy to install.

Chances are if you're reading this, you just want to validate what a great purchase you made because we all know there are people who use Crank bro cleats and there are people who don't.

We all know they're amazing, sure they wear out over time but pickup a new set cheap and you're good to go.

They work great!!

easy to install and they work awesome. I have used these cleats with fiveten and shimano shoes on mallet and candy pedals.

Just do it

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A new pair of cleats is an upgrade that is often overlooked and forgotten, but for $20 bucks it’s a worthwhile upgrade every season. I’ve got a pair of mallets that these work well on. The 15-20 degrees of float gives you freedom of movement prior to releasing to tweak out some whips and scubs, so you can flow while staying clipped in.

Great Cleats

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are great cleats! The cleats come with mounting hardware and shims. The cleats are very durable! My old cleats lasted years and I never had any issues.

Great Cleats

Pretty much everything you expect from a Crank Brothers product. These are awesome cleats and they work perfect with my Five Ten shoes! Easy to install, great release, and perform well out on the trails.

It's Time

Finally made the effort to switch my cleats out from my old worn down crank bros. Incredible how much more control and more consistent release I got once I replaced them.

Durable, Adjustable Cleats

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Used these with both the Mallet 3 and Mallet DH pedals. Easy to install and they seem to last as long as other cleats. I really like the ability to rotate for more or less float.

They're cleats...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Been using Crank Brothers pedals for many years, and isn't my first set I have had to replace. These cleats are like all the others and offer a great amount of float (I like), and still remain really durable. What is always nice is how new cleats really engage the pedal and offer better feedback when compared to "older" more worn out cleats. If in doubt, replace them.

Durable Cleats

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Clearly, if you use Crank Bros. Candy pedals you will need this cleat. Cleats do wear out and performance will suffer in the instances of premature cleat disengagement and potentially "rocking" of the interface. A new cleat will improve engagement/disengagement and add to an overall better experience on the bike. These do just that for you.

Essentials

I'm relatively new to the clipless way of life, but these cleats along with the Crank Bros Candy 1's give me a ton of confidence. Although I find them easy to get in and out of, they still have a bomber hold without making me feel too locked in.

    The one and only

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Crank brothers brass cleat! Works well and lasts a while, what more can you ask for?

    Solid Cleats

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Wears about as fast as any other cleat I've used. Works as it should.

    Easy in, easy out

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The first set of cleats, they lasted forever. In fact, should have changed them a little sooner. So a new set is welcome to hold the feet on a little better. The pedals are not adjustable, the release position is built into the cleats. When they are installed with say cleat "A" on the right it releases at 8 degrees. If cleat "A" is on the left, it releases later, at say 15 degrees.

    Cleat up!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Cleats do not last forever. They are slowly worn away at and need to be replaced. I would suggest replacing your cleats at least twice a year.

    A must!

These cleats are bomber, they are simply indestructible. I have not had any issues with mine and I have been riding with the same cleats for over a year now, bikepacking (A lot of hike a bike), Moab and thrashing trails on the Wasatch Front. I have Candy 2's while running the Five Ten Maltese Falcon LT and they complement each other well!

    A must!

    Adjustable Q-Factor For The Win

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My favorite thing about these cleats is the ability to adjust Q-factor, which isn't an option with the standard Crank Brothers cleats that came packaged with my Eggbeater pedals (see photo for comparison). Being able to get my feet just a little bit closer to the crankarms makes for happy knees and a closer feel to my road bike, which makes transitioning between road and cross a whole lot easier.

As for durability, these are pretty bombproof. I've had this model on other shoes over the years and have yet to actually wear a pair out even with boatloads of cyclocross abuse.

    Excellent Choice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These are the best cleats that you can buy and cant find them for a better price anywhere else, quality and long lasting

    Nothing better than fresh cleats

Replace your cleats often. It will help keep you connected to the bike better, which leads to better and safer riding.
