Costa Luke Polarized 580G Sunglasses

Country-inspired comfort.

Costa teamed up with country music star, Luke Bryan, to create the Luke 580 Glass Lens Polarized Sunglasses. They have a comfortable medium fit and a full-wrap design that gives them a laid-back look that's perfect for deep sea fishing or drinkin' beer and listening to live music.

The heavy-duty frame is made to take a beating but is also lightweight for a comfortable feel. The glass lenses are more scratch-resistant than plastic so they can provide crystal clear vision for years to come. They also block 100% of UV light and they're polarized to eliminate glare for reduced eye fatigue.

Great lenses, substandard frames

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've had my Luke's for over a year now. At first, they were amazing. After a few months the black plastic by the ear piece started warping. It ended up buckling so bad it was uncomfortable to wear. I paid shipping to send them back to Costa Del Mar to have them repaired under their warranty. However, after a week and a half review, the buckling of this piece wasn't covered under their warranty.

I would recommend avoiding these frames. The lenses are great, but I'd be wary to do business with a company that doesn't stand behind their product.

Nothing Beats Costas

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I own several pairs of Costas and all are of superb quality. I'd say this frame is medium to medium-large. The frame is definitely heavy-duty as mentioned above. Glass lenses offer amazing quality and durability from scratches, just be careful about dropping them or sitting on them (squashed a pair of Costas once after leaving them on the seat in my car).
These are beefy, and with the glass lenses have a little bit of heft to them, but not too much to prevent all day wearing. The Luke's have quickly become the pair I reach for first when heading out the door.
