ColumbiaSnow Slope II Bib - Boys'

Tough enough to handle a boy's snow play.

Built to seal out the snow and cold air, the Columbia Boys' Snow Slope II Bib is a versatile, toasty option for frigid days of broomball and snowball fights. Columbia's Omni-Shield fabric treatment fends off light moisture and helps prevent stains; under the nylon shell, the 140g of insulation will be super-warm compared to most other insulated winter pants. And the extra coverage area of a bib keeps him more comfortable while waiting for the bus on those brutal mornings or when he's ice fishing all day with dad.

The boot gaiters ensure that he can stay outside longer, because they lock out snow and water. A relaxed cut, adjustable elastic suspenders, articulated knees provide an awesome fit for a kid to be extra comfortable and the reinforced cuffs help prolong the life of the pants. That's excellent because the Outgrown grow system makes these pants a go-to season after season with its extendable cuffs.

Kids love them and they work great!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

They are a bit thinner (less thick and bulky and warm looking) than my twins' LL Bean snow pants, which is good because they get too hot with the thick ones, even in this cold climate at 6500 feet and 8 months of snow. One of the 9 year olds is 66 pounds and tall, the other is average height and 83 pounds. No rips or anything after 6 months of daily use. The LL Bean ones did rip already. Both twins fit into the same size M (10-12) of these. I bought 3 pairs and have one of the LL.Bean pairs, so they always have a dry pair to turn to (two boys with 4 pairs of snow pants). One kid is 54.5" tall, the other is 52" and they work for both of them. The taller kid weighs 66 lbs and the shorter kid weighs 83 lbs. Good solid snow pants.

Runs a size small!

Purchased for my 12 year old son. Love the bibs, great quality and construction. Loved the color and especially the feature that lets you lengthen the leg when they out grow. Our problem was that the shoulder straps only have about 2 inches of adjustment space. The pants were great length but they are super short waisted. We needed to have more room to adjust so that the pants don't pull up. My son was super uncomfortable. We purchased the Large and I would say we needed an XL if they only made one

Basic but durable

Sized up in these for my son. These bibs have always done well for us as the kids wear them skiing and to school every day at recess when it snows. Never noticed holes in the knees or any great wear and tear. We do wash with water proofing detergent to keep them at their best.

    great, basic snow pants

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got these for my 7 year old son who's big for his age -- ordered a M but easily could have gone larger, I doubt he'll be able to make these fit next season.

That being said, he loves them and can get them on himself. He's also pretty fussy about clothes in general being constricting, but he's got no complaints about fit which is surprising for him.

      I like them a lot

      Good quality but too short

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

      • Size Bought: L

The paints seem to be good quality, not too thick, rather on the thinner side. I ordered L for my son, who is 5' 2'' and skinny, and I had to exchange for XL. I agree with other reviewers that the pants run small.

      Fit a little small

Fit was a little smaller then measurements said.

        Fit great

          Fit great, nice and warm

          Basic, Essential

These are not high performance, specialized ski pants but work perfectly for growing kids (why spend $200+ on ski pants that they'll outgrown in a season or two). We use these on the slopes and in the backyard. They're durable, warm, and cheap! Highly recommended for your little ripper.

          3rd pair

These are our go-to for kids ski pants. We ski a fair amount and our sons take these to school every day for recess in the winter. They've held up. In fact they get passed down between siblings and are still going strong. The kids are warm and dry in these overalls. Not to mention the legs extend when the kids get too tall.

              Pant Extension System

                Great option for growers.

                Bibs for big boys

                • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
                • Fit: True to size
                • Size Bought: XSmall

My son felt like he was 'a real big boy' in these. They were a great starter bib and included everything you need when making snowballs to hitting those pizza and french fries on the bunny hill. My son is a tall kindergartener so sizing can be interesting. He's between 4/5 - 6-7 depending on the item. I did end up having to return these as they were a little tight in the crotch but mostly in his midsection. The inseam in the leg was great and with Columbia's Outgrown pant extension available in children's apparel, it would have worked out perfect! Great thinking Columbia. Regardless for my son the fit wasn't there. I might try a 6/7 or Small in this case but I'm afraid the pant inseam will be too long. If you have a child within a average percentile and a normal size range. I recommend these!

I purchased the next size up (SMALL) and they are 'almost' a perfect fit. The only issue would be the pant leg is a little wider than desired. He looks a little 70's and they are about a 1/2 inch too long. But I'm not complaining they're still functional and with this kid growing like he does...

                They work

                Works well

                • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I picked these up for my kids to use on the slopes this winter. We wanted to make sure that they were comfortable and protected from the snow and cold while sliding all over the hill this year. They have worked great for that purpose.

The fit seems pretty true. My only complaint is that I wish they had made the shoulder straps longer on these. They seem roomy enough that the kids could both use them for a couple of seasons, except that the shoulder straps won't go any longer. This may end up limiting the amount of use we can get out of them. Outside of that, these are a great bib.
