Saturday Trail Pant
The Women's Saturday Trail Pant comes in a casual style so you can wear it in the city, even though Columbia clearly designed it for hiking. Its Summiteer Lite fabric stretches for mobility and has a lightweight feel for all-day comfort. Columbia added an Omni-Shield treatment to resist water, and Omni-Shade technology helps this pant shield your skin from the sun's harmful rays. The Saturday Trail's active fit includes a mid rise and a gusset for freedom of movement, and there are roll-up tabs that convert this pant into a capri.

Really annoyed with this purchase. The pants are lovely, great styling and specs for hiking but they run small. I triple-checked the measurements before ordering but forget it, don't bother. Get at least one to two sizes bigger than you think. The "waist" measurement listed is misleading because it's not a true waist pant. The rise is really short so these pants land closer to below the belly button. Measure yourself around your hip bones and compare to the "waist" measurement listed and it should be more accurate. Now I have to return these and lose shipping money, Backcountry I wish you would waive that fee for exchanges!

Too long & side pocket too small

The waist on this fit me well but they are too long. I also specifically wanted a side pocket to store my phone and this pocket is too small to fit any smart phone.

NOT High Wasted

These pants hit significantly below the belly button and the crotch is short so pulling them up is not an option. They hit at such a strange spot that they give me a muffin top and get stuck in my rolls when I sit down. The legs fit fine so sizing up is not the answer, they just hit at a weird spot. Do not expect them to be the high wasted flattering fit they are advertised as!!

First impressions: These are flattering AND comfortable. Can't wait to try them on the trail. Absolutely perfect fit for me, from waist to cuff. Exactly the size I would have expected from the size chart. I was just looking to see if they have more in my size because I can tell I would like more of these in more colors. I've tried a lot of pants recently (esp Kuhl and Prana) and this are way more flattering than what I've been finding. Lightweight material, just the right amount of it. I agree the pockets are useless! I don't usually carry stuff in my pockets so I don't care. (I do like one deep well-placed pocket to slip my phone, but Kuhl seems to be the only brand I've found that does this right.) I wish Backcountry made it possible to search for short sizes! It would make my life so much easier.

Kind of Weird

Great fabric, and I like the roll-up snaps for making these into crops. Pockets are useless in my opinion. The front two pockets are not deep enough to hold anything securely, and they flare out when I am both standing and sitting. The zippered security pocket is nice for a credit card or key, but won't fit a phone. The back pockets are smaller that I had hoped-and difficult to access one-handed with the velcro closure. I wish these were a little higher waisted! I sized up to a 4 from my usual 2- and glad I did. They fit snug but well- kind of short in the waist to crotch measurement. I'll be returning until I find a pant I really love along these lines- these were close!

I'm 5'4" 120 and the size 2 Regular is perfect. for a slim but completely comfortable fit. Love the slight stretchiness, but they still hold their shape nicely. Fabric is pretty lightweight, so not insulating, but blocks the wind well.

My Favorite Hiking Pants

These are my favorite hiking pants, regardless of them being 4/5 stars. They fit curves well and I love the amount of storage these pants have. I climb, hike, and wear these pants to work/clinicals. They're awesome. Just be aware that they do pill up in the crotch area over time. But I LOVE these, I have several pairs. I'm a size 8 the first time (found out they run tight in the waist), and sized up and got a 10 and they work great.
