Solid Hiking Boots
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Purchased the steam/daredevil boots. I'm a size 10 in all shoes and I would consider these true to size. The outer material is solid. No problems with rips, tears. Bought these boots mid summer 2022. Not bad pricing. Have been hiking in the snow - definitely waterproof. Feet were never cold or wet. Solid ground grip. Been on long walks with dogs and noticed not much arch support, if any. Not something I would have specifically looked for but I assumed that wouldn't be an issue. It's not a deal breaker but something I will take note of next time. I gave these shoes four stars for two reasons. One is the lack of arch support already mentioned. The second is the left boot. When removing my shoes, the inner sole lifts up and almost out with my foot. Seemingly not connected inside the sole area. More of an irritant but happens every time. I will say these are good boots and I will be purchasing the darker color also. I just need to figure out the arch/sole support. Lastly, I'll pass on one thing as an avid online shopper (thank you COVID) is I've noticed in general having purchased these in the summertime when conditions are summertime and then when winter arrives and the boots are out to the true consumer test, if you will, if there were any issues, the return window obviously has closed. Something I will try to recognize next time and actually with all my purchase in general no matter what store. :)
