Perfect, even for a petite frame!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I just love this jacket! I’m always limited with sleeve length, being 5’0, but I could tell from the photo that the sleeves aren’t super long. They come to about halfway down my hands. The red is very bright - almost a hot pink - and I will definitely rock it for both work and casual. :)

you get what you pay for

Columbia's prices are way lower than other brands. I've learned you get what you pay for - something that will only last a season (boots), something that is ill-fitting (down vest), or - in this case, something that doesn't quite work right. I've had this for year now. Agree with others that the fit is nice and flattering, the length is great - but the zipper is very hard to use and most importantly - sigh - this ain't even water resistant. Wore it in the cold rain the other day for a short dog walk and the rain soaked right through to my shoulders and arms. Went out to meet parents for breakfast so was wet and cold all day.

It's perfect

My wife love this coat, is perfect for rainy days specially in Costa Rica. Great to use with casual or work outfit. The color is nice. She also bought the blue one. The size is perfect. I

Love this coat--feminine cut and functional. It's lightweight and breathable, but still prevents wind from getting through, as well as rain.

Great Gift

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this rain coat as a gift for my mom on a trip to Peru. She said it was perfect for days of exploring at high altitude with variable weather.

Cute but wrong color

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really like the fit of this jacket. I bought it for an Alaska cruise & Seattle trip. It is light, packable, and flattering. I like a jacket that covers my backside. Unfortunately, I ordered Ruby Red which appeared red on my device. When it arrived, it is more of a bright berry pink/ red. Its cute but a little too pink for me. I will be sending it back. I wish the jacket came in brick red, green or turquoise or cobalt blue.
I never used the jacket so I don't know if it is waterproof.

cute coat

This is a cute rain trench. I have not worn it in the rain yet, but on a cooler morning it kept me warm from a breeze without any additional lining. The green color is nice. I do have some trouble with the zipper.

Columbia Pardon My Trench Rain Jacket -

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I purchase this Trench Rain Jacket. It was not what I expected. I was unable to zip the Jacket, should have ordered a Larger instead of a medium. The jacket was also too thin, no lining. I returned it, to get a jacket with a liner. I was looking for a rain coat or jacket.

Not Waterproof or even Resistant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This jacket might seem fine for light rain but that is only for a short period of time. As the rain accumulates on top it begins to seep through. I can't even keep my phone in my pocket because it will get drenched. If in a downpour this jacket will be completely useless. I have had this jacket for about a year now and completely regret the purchase. I am currently looking for a new jacket because I can no longer deal.

I purchased this jacket for my wife, and she loves everything about it. Its light wait and water proof. What more can you ask for. She like the way you could also tie up the jacket around the waist.

Had to return it

  • Size Bought: XL

Runs small. VERY thin which is ok but it also wasn't as long as I thought. Returned it.

Functional Cute

I haven't tested this jacket yet in the pouring rain but for a misty day walking between car to buildings it is perfectly adequate. The red is beautiful and I love that I can wear on date nights and still look fashionable and then turn around it wear it hiking. I did size up based on other reviews and although roomy up top, perfect for layering, it is still snug in the hip area, Adjusting the belt helps loosen a bit but not too much.

Cute, but not functional.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

I want to love this jacket so much, but I could've ordered a much more stylish trench for the lack of waterproofing I experienced. The reason I bought this was for the technical aspects of it, and they just didn't deliver. I wore it for 45 minutes in moderate rain and was soaked through to my t-shirt.

Not Made for Hips

Small jacket fit perfect on top, but I have wider hips and it did not fit properly. Unfortunately I had to send back. Super cute, bummed customer

Unanswered Question

Am I gathering correctly from the photo that the lining is only on the bottom in the front? What is the rest of the jacket like? Is it a bare coating? I've had the interior coating on a TNF shell flake off and have been wary of unlined rain jackets ever since.

In case I do decide to go for it, a sizing question - 5'0", 118 lbs, larger bust - which size would work best?

Rain, rain keep pouring

I love the PNW for it's rain and this jacket is amazing for this weather. The waist band is somewhat inconvenient with it being stitched in but other than that I love the look as well as it's durability. Definitely keeping me dry. 👍🏼

I am from Florida and when it rains it is a hot muggy rain. I am having a hard time finding a rain jacket that is not layered. Would you say this is a thin or light weight material?

    Yes, very lightweight. It's unlined.

    U lightweight great for travel

Liked everything about this garment! It does run small, especially if you wear anything heavier under it.

SERVES THE PURPOSE minus the looks

it has been rainy in the past week and I finally had the chance to wear this rain jacket. Its' water proof material is light and effective under light to moderate rain. I wonder if it will be equally effective on heavy downpour. The fit is tight on the hip area. The belt is stitched permanently along the hip area which gives the middle section of the jacket an awkward appearance when tied.

    Good but...

I really love the look of this jacket. It looks really high-quality, and it really keeps the rain out (just spent 2 weeks in England).
I do not like the fit of it, though. It is very tight on the hips with no stretch. It does have a 2-way zipper, so you can zip the bottom open to give it more of a flare, but then you risk your clothes getting wet at the bottom! I love it, just wish it fit better at the hips.
