It is very thin

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I really wanted a warm coat that was longer and cozy. This coat is thin & not want I'd say is cozy warm. I live in Oregon where it doesn't get that cold, like in the east USA. yet it definetely needs a warm sweater underneath it.

I am keeping it because I like the color and the length and it is good for those in between days. However, if you are looking for a really warm winter coat, this is not it.

The medium was a bit snug on me- I could have sized up, but they didn't have the green in the large.

Perfect fit, room for layers

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

Love this coat - I have smaller shoulders but am hourglass-shaped, so I often find coats too big in this area but snug everywhere else. For slim-fitting coats, I am usually a medium in Patagonia coats but the small in this Columbia coat fits perfectly. It is great for a chilly day without being too bulky and the thumb loops and hood are a bonus!

Great Lightweight, Warm Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: S

I ordered this jacket along with 2 others to determine which one was the perfect combination of warm and lightweight. I chose to keep this one even though it is more expensive because it the technology to hold in heat really works. In addition, this jacket has some additional nice touches such as a light fur in the hood and pocket linings. The fur does add a little weight compared to other lightweight jackets, but it's still not heavy and also still easily fits in a stuff bag. I'm so glad I found this coat!

Beautiful and comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

The coat fits my curves and flatters me well unlike most coats. I love the hand warmers built into the sleeves. This coat has kept me warm through wind and rain. The only downside is when sitting down it can be uncomfortable (i have to unzip it) but this is my first long coat so maybe thats normal. I bought the purple one and I'm thinking about getting the blue now :)

So warm, so flattering

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XS

This coat is the best. Want a really flattering, warm, lightweight jacket that is super comfortable? This is it.
It does a really decent job in raw, rainy weather also.
My one complaint is when it’s really windy I can feel it a little, but that’s what you get without a shell. I sized down because I think omniheat works best without a million layers. One layer of either chunky sweater or better sweater fleece and I am too warm in 10 degree weather.
The black cherry makes ya stand out from the sea of black puffies on the streets.

Nice

I liked the weight of the coat, the warmth, and the fit. I get extra discount from here: coupon-code.info

    Love this coat!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

It fits well. It's super warm. It's super cute. Would buy again.

    Very warm

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I love the shade of green. I recieve several compliments on it. I’m tall 5’9 and a half. The arms fit well but could be tad longer. It’s warm and still gives me a shape.

    Love this coat!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: X-Large

This coat is thin enough to not feel bulky but nice and warm!

    What I was looking for

    • Fit: True to size

Happy with my purchase I was looking for a lighter jacket that I could wear when the temp is above 20 degrees out. Definitely not a really warm winter jacket but a good fall or warmer winter day jacket. Very cute I love it. I am 5’8 145lbs I ordered a medium since I like my clothing to have some extra room for sweatshirts underneath and it works great. I get lots of compliments.

    Not Chicago Winter Friendly

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

By looking at the picture I thought this coat would be a bit heavier but I still had to wear a jacket underneath in order to be warm. Its a long wind breaker.

    Zipper didn't work

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

I liked the weight of the coat, the warmth, and the fit, but sometimes the zipper wouldn't go up. I ended up returning after less than a month of using the coat because I found this to be frustrating.

    Nice, lighter winter jacket

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This is a great winter jacket if you live in places where the winters aren't that cold/windy/etc. because it is very light. Unfortunately, I live in Colorado so I had to opt for something a bit more heavy duty. The sizing is pretty accurate, as it is not particularly form fitting. If you are looking for something more form fitting, you should order down a size.

For reference, I'm 5'9", 125lb and I ordered a small. It was not form fitting, so I could wear a fleece comfortably underneath it.
