Columbia Bugaboo II Pant - Men's

Good times. No batteries required.

No gimmicks, no loud patterns, and nothing electronic. The Columbia Bugaboo relies on solid, tried-and-true technology to keep your dry, comfortable, and happy all winter. Columbia even tucked a little insulation in there to take the edge off those bitter cold mid-January ski days.

  • Omni-Shield resists all liquids below 170 degrees Fahrenheit to keep you dry and clothes from becoming stained
  • Omni-Shield fabrics dry 3 to 5 times faster than untreated fabrics
  • Omni-Tech membrane is made with pores that are too small for water to pass through but large enough for water vapor so moisture inside can get out but water can't get in
  • Adjustable waist tabs for a snug, custom fit
  • internal, adjustable gaiters keep the snow out
  • Reinforced cuff guards protect your cuffs from ski and snowboard edges
  • Articulated knees for a natural feel

Great pants for the price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL/Reg

I love these snow pants. I have used them quite a few times skiing from Park City to Jackson. They are warm, on really cold days a light base layer is more then enough.

Unanswered Question

The description here says they have leg vents. My 3-year old pair does have them on the inside thighs, but the new models seem to NOT have vents. Shame on Columbia for changing this! It's a great feature and a must-have for me. Can BC confirm your current stock has the zippered vents?

Good Deal on Pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Got these early in the season and have used them every weekend for the last two months. They're warm enough for New England winters, really comfortable, and deem quite durable.
They have an adjustable waist band which is really nice.
They were a little long for me (but I'm not very tall) so I had to have them hemmed.

Great pants for a great price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First pair of Snowboarding pants I bought and I don't regret it at all. Whether day riding or night they do the job. Very water resistant. I wear a size 38 and I purchased a large fits wonderful and the Velcro straps really give you breathing room around the waist.

Bugaboo II Ski Pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These ski pants seem more cheaply made than the last pair of Columbia ski pants I bought for about the same price. The material seems like more slick nylon you see on the cheaper ski pants. The lining is warm enough, but the material is different. They fit okay and are adjustable, but I was disappointed. They work, but not as good as the previous style.

What's the warranty on these? I've seen some people commenting on other sites that these have ripped or started to split after just one use.

Thanks, just got mine in the mail. They seem pretty solid.

How is the fit on these? I own TNF Freedom pants and found them waay to baggy. How do these compare?

they are not baggy, pretty much a regular fit

Hey Takeshi Souma,

First, i want to point out that these pants have an adjustable waist. the measurements I give you are for the maximum waist for the particular size. and you can dial it in from there. The small waist is 34.5 inches and the medium is 36.5 inches.

How large are opening at leg bottoms. Will they fit over ski boots easily. My boots seem to big for some of the pants I've ordered

Hey palp1162323,

I measured the leg opening of a size medium and the circumference of the opening is 23 inches. I hope that fits around your ski boots.

nice pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

For the price these have seemed to work great, I wore them on a lovely 2 hour jaunt ina snow storm and they kept me warm and dry.

So far no complaints and I love them!

Are these just a shell or is there truly some insulation?

There is definitely insulation, the pants are pretty thick like typical snowboard pants.

10 Seasons

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had this pant (or something exactly like this "model") for going on ten seasons now. Solid pant that stands up to all the elements. I do run it through a tech wash and Nikwax waterproofing every year and that seems to have kept it in running condition.

Pants can get a little warm but nothing the vents cant fix. Would definitely buy again and recommend this to everyone.
