CastelliSanremo 3.0 Speed Suit - Men's

Suit up.

Castelli combined two of its most popular products to create the Sanremo 3.0 Speed Suit. Up top is Catelli's Aero Race 5.0, with dimpled 3D fabric (similar to a golf ball) meant to slice through the wind and get you down the road faster. The bottom half is a bib-free version of Castelli's Body Paint shorts, also with surface dimples and made of a single piece of supportive fabric for a seamless, irritation-free fit.

At the core of this speed suit is the Progetto X2 Air Seat Pad, an antimicrobial chamois with seamless construction, four-way stretch, and a perforated foam layer for a soft, ventilated, friction-free ride. Paying attention to even the little details, Castelli rounds out the Sanremo 3.0 Speed Suit with Giro 3 integrated leg grippers. These bands eliminate the need for pinchy elastic and provide a smooth and gently compressive surface to hold everything comfortably in place.

Hi Mitch! Here are all the size inseams.

Medium: 32.3in (82cm)

XLarge: 33.1in (84cm)

XXlarge: 33.5in (85cm)

The San Remo suit fit perfectly. I used the chest size for my 42" chest and ordered the XXL and it was perfect. Castelli does run small as I am usually XL in Santini . The suits just feels fast. I don't know if it's psychological or not, but it feels great against the skin and just makes you want to go fast. The pockets are perfect especially when loaded, none of the contents move at all. The suit definitely hits all marks with me and is a keeper.

FAST

Got this kit for a road race I knew would be fast, and the lack of drag over a regular castelli kit is amazing.

Fit is great when on the bike but you will feel a little silly when standing around. Normally I wear a small castelli jersey and shorts but I got this in a medium, and I'm glad I did. Runs super small like any skin suit, but it is FAST.

Pockets work well, although I wish they would place them higher up in the back so your stuff rests on your back, not the top of your butt. (I wish they would do this with all their jerseys) .

Only other gripe is that unlike the Thermosuit, where they used bibs without straps, they stitched bodypaint "shorts" to the top, so there is a leftover waistband that doesn't need to be there at the front and somewhat get's bunched up and a little tight. My only reason for 4 stars.

Overall love it, my new go-to race kit.

Unanswered Question

Need your advice on fit for this product. I'm very tall (long inseam bigger than a 3xl on this chart) but very narrow upper body (pretty lanky about a size small on this chart) think similar to Ryder Hesjedal kind of build. Long and Lanky. What size should I go for?
Thanks

Great piece of kit

Sticker shock? Sure, but I think you'll be MORE shocked at how amazing a functional skin suit works. Yes, FUNCTIONAL. The addition of pockets makes this a piece you can wear for more than just a TT. The lack of shoulder straps gives you a sense of "freedom" as you ride. It fits tight and gives you fantastic ventilation. The bottom is a modified bodypaint shorts so they have a very supple pad. A word of warning on the pad, it does not fit everyone. The pad can be uncomfortable to some depending on how well you fit Castelli products in general, but by in large this kit will be great. My only gripe with this piece is that it holds very poorly to wear and tear. Understandably this is a "race-day" piece, and as such you should approach this investment as one, but inner thigh material tends to fray very quickly (mine started only about 100 miles in). My thighs are thicker and so the inner portion tends to rub against the nose of the saddle. So if you buy this, keep your eyes open for premature wear. The free-aero bibs will last you longer....
