A little faster this time.

Bernard Hinault made headbands cool in the pro peloton. He won races on hot days wearing nothing but a headband atop his head. A master of head games, he was probably flaunting his hirsute pate at his competition as well as showing them how little he thought of them. They weren't worthy of a training ride. The Castelli Retro headband recalls Le Blaireau's headwear. Not coincidentally, Hinault's Renault-Elf-Gitane team was sponsored by Castelli during his headband phase.

The headband is a simple item, but one that is indispensable on hot days or when riding rollers. Unlike newer bands, this one is made with cotton. Looped cotton, just like a towel, on the inside. The loops are against your head and the three-dimensional weave allows the band to soak up quite a bit of sweat. Because it's holding the sweat, the perspiration is working to cool you down.

On the outside the surface is smooth. The surface has good stretch and is good for screen printing, a great home for the Castelli scorpion and name. The height of the band is 2.5cm. The Castelli Retro headband comes in one color, White, and one size, which fit most.

Excellent and nice looking head band

It's aesthetically pleasing and works well for moisture wicking. I gave it a 4 because it could possibly be too big for some people. My head can fit on size small cycling helmet and this headband fits me just right. If u wear xs, it might b too big for u.

    One size doesn't fit all

I knew the one size fits all label probably wasn't going to work for me and it didn't. The headband was very loose on my head and gapped in the back. Bottom line- If your head is less than 55cm (small helmet) don't even try.

      Euro Pro

Awesome, fits under the helmet well, and you can just turn it when it gets saturated so it'll keep doing its job all day. looks awesome with and without a helmet
