Why We Like the Climber's 2.0 Jersey

Built for long rides with a scary amount of elevation gain, the Climber's 2.0 Jersey is the one to wear when things get steep. It's no one-trick pony though, and we've found it works well in hot weather and is an ideal base layer in cooler weather or rain under a vest or jacket thanks to its minimal moisture absorption. The inner lining keeps things modest and adds a nice design detail to this highly technical jersey.

May be for climbers, not descenders

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This jersey is marketed towards climbers. If you’re a climber, you’re probably also a “descender.” The problem is that the front body of this jersey is so loose that it flaps in the wind on descents. It doesn’t help that they used a bulkier zipper, which tends to bunch up more than the thinner zippers when used with such thin fabric. There’s also a bit of fabric on the shoulders that flaps, even after adjusting the sleeves. I wish Castelli would make this more of a race cut because I otherwise like the top. The fabric is very comfortable and keeps cool on hot rides. The seamless sleeves are comfortable. The neckline sits comfortably without poking my neck. This could be a great top if you have trouble with jerseys being too tight in the abdomen.
