Why We Like The Arenberg Gel LF Glove
During summer rides on aggressive trail we're wearing the Castelli Arenberg Gel LF Glove to soak up some of the harsh terrain. This grippy glove has safety and security built into the soft gel padding, allowing us to grip the bars even while they're getting bashed by rocks and roots. The perforated mesh allows plenty of airflow, and we'll ride with these gloves on well into shoulder season

Gloves
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought the Castelli Gel LF gloves a month ago. Very high quality glove. Nicer than my Specialized gloves. Nice padding. Just a little snug. Hopefully will stretch out a bit. I am 5'9" and glad I ordered an XL.

Love the glove, except that it's falling
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I always wear full fingered gloves road cycling. These have been my spring-summer-early fall gloves. I love everything about them except that the stitching around both index fingers started falling apart after only a week. The padding is minimal but effective. The finger portion often needs to be slightly wet to function w/ touch with smart phones. So, with the index finger stitching falling apart, I have skin to screen contact with my phone! I'm sure that's not what Castelli intended...

Supple & grippy, not cold weather glove.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Update: dropped 1 star because I noticed this morning that these are already coming apart. The pad on palm is coming unstitched. I have maybe half a dozen rides on these. Even though this is a full-finger glove, it is not a cold weather glove. It is more of a thin, supple, grippy glove. 54-80F is about right. The glove stops right where the wrist starts. There is no extra material anywhere. I would use it for temps that are a bit cool and/or where I want extra grip or finger protection. The quality of the material seems good.
