Built for demanding routes the Peak 12 Steel Crampon delivers absolute security
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"When the route gets steep and firm, this is the one I trust. The steel points bite hard and stay sharp, and the fit system keeps everything stable on long technical days. It’s heavier than aluminum, but that weight buys real confidence."
We commit to routes where conditions are uncertain and consequences are real, and the Peak 12 Steel Crampon is built for exactly those days. C.A.M.P. designed this model for technical mountaineering, high-altitude objectives, and demanding ski mountaineering where reliability matters more than shaving grams. On steep snow, icy traverses, and mixed alpine terrain, it delivers unwavering security underfoot.
A full NiCrMo steel construction provides durability and penetration on firm snow and ice, paired with a true 12-point layout for balanced traction in complex terrain. The patented Boot Adapt System allows the front section to be configured to match either mountaineering boots or ski boots, maintaining lateral stability when edging or traversing. A micrometric stainless steel linking bar fine-tunes length across a wide size range, folds for compact storage, and works alongside integrated anti-balling plates to reduce snow buildup as conditions change.
