Especially when you’re in a hurry to get to the pub.
Store your crampons in the CAMP Crampons Case. It’s nice to not have to trudge your ice-feet all over creation, and when stowing gear you won’t have to worry about ice drippage on your dry coat.
- Q & A
Inexpensive and Simple
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've got a couple of these for my crampons and they work nicely. Nothing fancy but gets the job done and done well. Plus for sub $10 it won't break the bank.
Simple inexpensive crampon bag. But note to others - crampon bags are included with Camp USA crampons, so you don't actually need to order this separately unless you need a new bag.
What are the dimensions?
11.5 x 5 x 3.5 inches
Seems like a decent case
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I purchased this for my Grivel G14's which are sized to my 45 Trango Extremes and this case is about 1/2 an inch to short to fit them. I feel like I have a pretty standard foot size (10 1/2 or 11) so it seems weird that the crampons wouldn't fit unless I wanted to break them down every time I put them away. So I returned the bag without being able to use it. However, if the bag had been big enough to fit my crampons, it seemed like it would work just fine.
Cheap and Cheap
The bag started to tear apart when I attached it to the outside of my pack with the hanging loop. Pretty much ripped that end of the bag out, now I have it gorilla taped together. I used it probably ten times this season though, so it took a beating for a while and then came apart. For 8 bucks, that seems about right.
Bag has a lot of room, even with it half destroyed and taped I can still fit crampons no problem. Might even be a little too big.
