These must be children's shoes!
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I get that you need to size up for climbing shoes sometimes. Plus lots of folks were complaining about them running small, so I went 1.5 sizes up from my regular shoe size. But I couldn't even get my whole foot inside of them! The website and packaging say that they're adult sizes but they were comically small. I wish I didn't have to pay for shipping my return when this product clearly has issues. Don't do it, don't buy them.

Great approach shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These have a place. I found the sizing to be be spot on to street shoes for an 8.5, I generally where 42s in most Sportivas and these are labelled a 41.5 for the same fit. These fit snug with a pair of thin wool socks and are my cool weather/alpine go to. They are sturdy and more boot-like. A lot of softer/lighter approach shoes are a bit gushy for actual climbing use, these edge and jam well and still can kick some steps in a pinch.

Good slip ons
- Familiarity:

These are slip ons, so they fit snug. Size them at your running shoe size and they’ll be fine.

Perfect Gym Slipper
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
My foot is a bit more on the narrow side, so I went with my street size and absolutely love these slips. Saw the other two reviews and rolled the dice because the price was right for a dedicated gym slip. These are now my go-to shoe for everything but the steepest and most heel intensive problems. Hopeful they get some traction with these as I'd hate for them to go away. Better than the anasazi's (post adidas acquisition) in my opinion.

Icarus approach shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have only had them for a day and like all shoes with a lot of support they feel a little stiff, but the tongue is plush so it's more the newness of the shape on my foot and not the lack of padding. I originally got them in size 13 because earlier reviews said to they ran small. The exact opposite is true of the my size. I returned the 13's and ordered my normal 12.5's and they are a "comfort fit" rather than a "performance fit" in my normal size. I suppose I'll have to come back and amend this review once I break them in because I haven't gone far in them yet...

Runs Small!
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I love the Icarus Approach Shoe, but it felt too tight and a bit short when I tried it on. I ordered a half size up and it felt more like a half size smaller. I will exchange for the next size up. I like the look and feel of the shoe! It felt like it had good all around protection.

I didnt like
- Familiarity:

I bought a half size larger based on previous review but found the show too big. This is also a heavy shoe - i prefer a lighter approach shoe. I had a feeling i'd look like Lurch or Frankestein out hiking in these. I agree with the previous that these shoes look and feel like they would last a long time.

I hate to do it but...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Needed them for an all day trad day in Red Rocks. I saw the previous review and decided to up in size, still not even close to the correct sizing. I tried stretching them out by wearing them as long as i could and then putting water bottles in them and nothing would stretch them at all to make them comfortable. If my foot was sweaty at all it wouldn't go on. I pulled so hard that the leather ripped so now i can't return them. They run insanely narrow. I have a flat/fat foot but i don't think it would have mattered no matter what size I had bought. they look great and function really well for a climb or two but losing the feeling in your foot because they are too tight (all over) makes them bad all day shoes. I wish i could give a better review because the performance is great but the design isn't built for anyone with non narrow feet.

Great design but runs extremely small
- Familiarity:

Got these to take to Indian creek for spring . Ordered size 9.5 , my street shoe is 9.5 so I wondered if I was going to get a loose fit . Ordered large because for climbing cracks. When the shoe arrived I was surprised at how small the overall design was . Crammed my feet into them to try on and within 5 minutes I realized i wouldn?t be able to use these. ? I really liked the design but these seem to be meant for the narrow feet folks !
