The upper boasts a hydrovelour split leather that stretches to conform to your foot shape, while the odor-resistant organic hemp lining reduces stretching so you don't have a baggy pair of boots by the time your reach the summit.

Just like any crack climbing shoe, the Altura has a padded tongue and mesh lining to protect your forefoot from jagged rocks inside the crack. The moisture-wicking split-leather footbed feels particularly wonderful in warmer weather, and the midsole offers moderate stiffness so you can edge, smear, and slab up tricky sections with supportive stability. The butyl Butora rubber sole has a sharp edge for the occasional face move, and its soft enough for you to get enough contact on slabs.
