Gore-Tex Ballast Pant

The Burton Men's Gore-Tex Ballast Pant offers the legendary waterproofing and breathability of Gore-Tex at a price that leaves cash leftover for rides to the mountains and post-shred pizza. What it lacks in flashy style and unnecessary bells and whistles, it makes up for in dependable performance and a timeless look.

Gore-Tex will keep you dry, even when the flakes are falling at a rapid rate, and it's highly breathable so you don't get soaked with sweat on pow-seeking hikes and spring park sessions. Fully sealed seams keep moisture from sneaking in when you're surfing through waist-deep powder, and the porous lining further enhances breathability so you stay cool when it warms up later in the day. If you start to feel really toasty when the sun is high in the sky, the generous mesh-lined vents offer instant airflow.

  • Shred until the chairs stop spinning in this protective pant
  • Gore-Tex membrane keeps you dry without overheating
  • Fully taped seams prevent moisture from seeping through
  • Porous lining enhances breathability and moisture management
  • Mesh-lined vents allow you cool down when the day heats up
  • Boot gaiters keep snow out of your kicks
  • Scuff guards prolong life of pants

Quality pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

Bought these for my son for snowboarding. Fits true to size. Great price for the Goretex ! Wish Back Country carries length for tall guys over 6’3”.

Decent

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

For the money these are decent pants. The look great and fit great. Not too baggy not too loose just right. Gotta give burton props for the style. The material quality itself is not very good. My first day with these the stitching started coming unraveled on the burton patch and it fell off. The material itself rips quite easily. As far as the dwr on this it wets through super easily but you will stay dry still bc of the goretex. Id like to say i put these through the ringer but i doubt they would have held up. I have 5 days in these pants and theyre lookin fairly rough and im not one to fall often.

Great pants!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I got these as a gift and here is their review: "So far I really like these pants, I have worn them snowboarding multiple times and am planning to use them for some winter hiking as well soon. They perform well snowboarding, gore tex keeps me nice and dry. Do not have any complaints about them. Fit is true to size."

Great Great!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These are great ski pants. My boyfriend has been needing some new ones and these are great/affordable. They're not the greatest quality but works for skiing right now. True to size

Soggy Bottoms are the Worst

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Nothing ruins your day like a soggy bottom and finding Gore-tex snowboard pants around this price is near impossible. Burton delivered with 2 layer Gore-tex and Living Lining, and their always stellar quality. The only thing I would change about these pants is the cut - they're baggy, and I'd prefer a more fitted look...

True to size

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Pants fit true to size. They are warm and comfortable without being bulky. There are also lots of pockets, which is ideal for a day on the mountain, and keeping close access to all your gear, wallet, etc.
