Personal heaters for your hands.

Burton knows you want to get the most out of your day on the mountain, which is why it designed the Gore-Tex Mitten. Made with a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane, DryRide Durashell two-layer fabric, and Thermacore insulation, the Gore-Tex Mitten will keep your hands warm from first chair to last run. And if all this warmth isn't enough, add the hidden heater/vent pocket, and the removable four–way stretch DryRide Thermex liner, and your hands will have it made. And don't forget to use the Screen Grab Toughgrip leather palm to scroll through your playlist between runs, because who couldn't use a soundtrack to accompany an epic day of riding?

  • Screen Grab Toughgrip leather palm

Awesome Mitten

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Gave this as a gift, but have some feedback to give! "I've used this at Brighton mainly for night skiing, when temps can drop below zero and have stayed really warm with this liner and mitten combo! The material is very waterproof and seems very durable and will last a really long time!"

Great Light Weight Mitten

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm a big fan of these mittens. They are light weight and easy to fit under your jacket sleeves. The Gore-Tex allows the glove to breathe fairly well, and i don't over heat in them. On really cold days, I'll actually put hand warmers in the zip pockets on the top of the gloves and that keeps me very warm. The removable liners in the gloves are pretty spotty when trying to use your phone, and I've found I have to work a bit to find the sweet spot on the glove that will work on touchscreens. With that said, I never use the liner gloves when I'm actually riding., and find the mitten itself to be warm enough.

Liners DO NOT WORK!!!!!

The description is a lie! the liners are not touch screen compatible. The shell seems fine. I asked Back Country to provide me with a touch screen liner they refused. Now I will have to spend more money on gloves that work as advertised. Never going to purchase from BC again unless I'm provided with what I paid for.

    Liner is NOT touchscreen compatible

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I will first say that I love these mittens. I wear the liner with the mitten most days on the mountain and my hands are very warm. On warm days, just the outer shell is more than enough to keep my hands warm.
However, the liner is NOT touchscreen compatible at all. I thought it was just my phone/screen protector/case but it's not. The liner does NOT work with touchscreen phones so you have to take the liner off in order to use your phone which is REALLY annoying and makes my hands freeze on most days. I ended up buying a different liner glove that does work as advertised with touchscreens and I haven't had any issues. I'm just mad I had to buy an extra set of liner gloves because the ones these came with don't work with my phone.

Back Country needs to actually test the products they sell. EXTREMELY disappointed with back country, they may have lost a customer for life.

Learn to read! It doesn’t say that the liner is touchscreen compatible, the leather glove palm is.

    Nephew loves them

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought for my nephew and he loves them, they come with a liner that fits great in the glove so his hands stay warm when he takes the mittens off on the lift or in the terrain park to take a pic.

    Nice fit and functional

Keeps your hands warm on cold riding days. You can also lose the liners on warm days so your hands aren’t super toasty.

Love these gloves, this pair is by far the warmest pair i have ever owned. the liner gloves included is an amazing addition.

        Versatile mittens for varying temps

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These mittens come with a set of glove liners. The liners themselves have a rubberized grip on the entire palm side so they can be used for more than just their liner purpose. The mittens themselves are nice and fuzzy on the inside and keep my hands warm on your average ski day. These are great for days where its sunny in the morning and snowing in the afternoon, just throw the liners in your pocket and add them when you need more warmth. Also great for activities like snowshoeing or touring where you want something light weight on the way up and heavier on the way down.

        Burton Gloves for the Win

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my third pair of Burton gloves (5th for the family) and I'm happy every time. Got this pair because I had to size up to fit the Burton Impact Wrist Guards and the old pair are still great after 4 years of heavy use.
These gloves are a bit warmer than my last pair (my hands run warm), and while I appreciate that I don't know when I'll use the liners that came with them to up the warmth further.

        Let the hand drag

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

All around great mitten. The included liners are a bonus, I personally don't use them because the mitts are warm enough on their own.

        Overall Good Mitten

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Overall a really great mitten. Hard to beat the price and functionality of this glove. Very warm and True to size. Great bang for your buck!!

        Pretty great gloves

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are decent gloves. Like reviews said below they could use a few upgrades but overall they keep my hands nice and warm. For the price I think these are great gloves.

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these mittens but wow, your hand get super hot in them. Would recommend for cold weather days only.

The linings are a added bonus. The lining doesn't work as smoothly as expected for touch screen usage but I can't complain because when I'm out on the slopes comfort and warmth beat out an erroneous extra feature any day.

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These fit true to size from the sizing chart provided and seem very warm. I just have initial impression but they fit great, look awesome, and are super comfy. I love the mittens style for keeping my fingers warm. They come with liners that are quality as well but I tend not to wear liners for personal comfort

        Decent but better options available

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The mittens themselves performed quite well and kept my hands nice and warm. But there are a few aspects of the mitten that make it subpar, such as the lack of touch screen compatibility with the liners, the lack of a goggle wipe on the thumb, and questionable durability over the long haul.

A good friend of mine lent me his Dakine Titan Mittens, and at a similar price point (actually $5 less retail price), the Titan struck me as far away the better mitten. It also has Gore-Tex for waterproofing, but the liners are touch-screen compatible, there is actually more insulation in the mitten itself providing better warmth, and it has a nice wedge on the left thumb to help clear ice and moisture from goggles. I returned the Burton mitten and have been much happier with the Titan.

        Super Warm

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I don't even need the liner, these things are hot. No noticeable wear on them from 20 or so uses. When it's cold enough to need these it's not generally the type of snow that will soak through your stuff, but as far as I can tell the waterproof level is great. Basically if it's too cold for these I probably don't want to be out snowboarding.

        Wasn't impressed

I took these mittens out boarding and within a couple hours they were all scuffed up. Just doing up a my bindings a few times was enough to put some serious wear on it. I decided to return them before they got even worse.

Durable, super warm, and comfortable. These mittens are great for riding regardless of the time of season. These are all time!

            Fantastic Mittens

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these mittens a few weeks ago for a trip to Breckenridge. My old Spyder gloves were worn out and never kept my hands warm enough. I switched to these Burton (Bog Heather) Mittens and I will never go back. I climbed to the summit with these mittens and my fingers were fine the whole time. I used my own personal liners, but the liners that came with the mittens seem fine.

The tightening strap is easy to tighten and loosen so the mittens stay snug. The pull cord that slims the wrist cover for the mitten works great so you can slide your gloves in your jacket with ease.

I reached the summit and, as it turns out, one of the guys I ran into up there had the Burton glove version of these mittens. Super happy with this purchase.

            Liner not work for phone!

Everything is good, very warm. The outer mitten might get little wet inside during rainy days, but inside liner (five fingers gloves) is totally dry. BUT inner gloves totally not work for touchscreen!!! (Only outer shell dose, works good, but who will use cellphone with a mitten?)
