BuffUV Half Buff

One Buff, six million uses.

The beauty of the UV Half Buff is its simplicity. Half the size of a regular Buff, it fits perfectly under hats and helmets, around ears and hair, or even around wrists. No matter how you wear it, it blocks 95% of UV radiation, wicks moisture, dries quickly, and, thanks to a Polygiene odor-resistant treatment, won't even get stinky.

Great sun protection.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I burn easy and this has been a great solution to keeping me from returning home with a bright red neck, also living in the PNW it is used to keep rain out

about to buy another one

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I really underestimated how much i would wear this, but I love the half size buff so much I'm about to buy another color. It is such a great headband for keeping all your hair back while climbing, hiking, or whatever. It also fits nicely under a helmet. Since it's super thin it dries out fast which is awesome for hot sweaty days on the trail.

kiss cotton goodbye forever

I now own several different types of Buffs (I've become a total merino wool fanatic in general recently). They are absolutely worth every penny you pay and do everything as advertised. And when I wear the half buff as a headband or under my climbing helmet, it never slips. EVER. No other headband has ever achieved such a feat for me.

awesom

    not a red neck....anymore

    Best Gifts!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love giving these out for gifts...whether they are 12 or 75 years old.....everyone has a use for it.

    Cold weather staple

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The half size is nice and efficient, saving you grief if you're the type of person who unzips and re-zips their jacket on rides. Without the excess of material there's not as much to get snagged in zippers or get odd bunches under the collar.

    half size is perfect

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is so indispensable that I now own several. It's a godsend for warm weather backpacking, but also makes a nice head warmer on cool nights when a beanie would be overkill. Dollar for dollar it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Should've gotten a half size long ago

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had a full size Buff for nearly 10 years and decided to try out a half size. Love it with less material, especially when its warmer and I need to hide my hair.

    Just a touch too short

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The colors are great, its light weight, and it makes a great headband. Although, if you're looking for something to really protect your neck on the river this isn't it. Naturally, it has half as much bulk as a full-size buff which is great for the warmer weather, not so great for coverage. Maybe I'm being too Goldilocks here, but a 3/4 buff would be just right.

My wife was torn between the half and full. I cut a few inches off the full and ran it through the sewing machine. Voila! 3/4 length buff.

keeps the wind burn off of your neck

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I use this while riding my motorcycle long distances, great for defeating that infamous wind burn.

No Reason Not To Have It

Buffs are great for Summer and Winter no matter what kind of weather you encounter. Never leave home without one in my pack!

    Always great

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

As a runner, I love all of my Buffs for keeping the sweat off my face in the summer and covering my mouth/face in the freezing Michigan winters. This half-Buff in "Bubbles" print is colorful and cool.

    Cant go wrong

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

great product, UV protection is such a nice detail

    I dig it

I use this buff while skiing and helps with wind protection. Without a doubt I'll be buying more!

      Great buff

I love this half buff! It is great for keeping my ears warm on cold morning runs.

        Love My Buff

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought the "Roles Red" one for a camping trip and I wore it almost everyday before I even went on my trip. I absolutely love the color against my dark hair and how it fits. I originally only had a full buff but it was too tight on my head which gave me headaches. The half buff is wider with less material so it feels great on my head all day! When I took it camping for a week it didn't smell, it dried quickly, and it didn't cause me to break out the way my other headband did. Great buy!

        A no brainer

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size

I bought a pair of this Half Size Buff because I wanted to use them as headbands for wicking away the sweat off my forehead when road biking. Since it's half the size of your regular Buff, it means less fabric to deal with, which delivers a perfect stealth fit when using it under a bike helmet.

As others have claimed in their comments, Buff equals to versatility, durability & protection.

Never had one before. He likes it!

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this for a friend that had a worn out old fleece neck gaiter. He likes the versatility of it's lightweight and flexibility.

        Love buff

Super cheap, super warm, you can wear it in different ways so its super convienent.

          Sister loves it!

My sister has some crazy thick hair and she says these work amazing at keeping it out of her face when hiking or trail running.
