Blue Ice built the Harfang around a hybrid frame pairing a chromoly steel front rail with aluminum secondary and rear rails, striking a balance between point strength where it matters most and weight savings where it can be afforded. A central textile strap connects the front and back rails and positions naturally around the boot, while the flexible linking system keeps bulk to a minimum compared to traditional bar-style connectors. The heel pivot's micro adjustment dial allows quick, tool-free fit changes mid-approach — a feature that matters when ski boots vary, and conditions change fast. TPU Active ABS anti-balling plates keep snow from packing underfoot on mixed terrain, and universal boot compatibility means the Harfang transitions seamlessly between ski mountaineering missions and alpine hiking objectives.
