Blackburn Air Tower 1 Floor Pump

Smarter than most people.

The Blackburn Air Tower 1 Floor Pump gets the job done, and it gets it done in a hurry. The Air Tower 1 doesn’t care whether you’re using Shrader or Presta valves—its AnyValve pump head just kind of knows. You don’t have to concern yourself—the head locks on either way. The comfortable T-handle makes pumping easier, even if you’re going for high air pressure, and the handles have storage compartments for needle valves, and adapters. The 300cm3 volume steel barrel gets your tire pumped up in a hurry, so you can spend less time pumping and more time riding. If you’re the type who goes through floor pumps in a hurry, you’ll have less to worry about with the Air Tower 1. Its sturdy steel barrel and nylon fiber base can withstand month-after-month of high-volume bike shop abuse.

Solid Pump No Issues

Solid pump! No issues so far and reasonably priced and works great.

Decent pump for a good price.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not the fanciest pump around but it's definitely a solid pump that gets the job done. I keep it in the back of my car at all times and I've never had an issue with it.

    Works great!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great pump at a great price. It's got enough volume to fill up a tire quickly and the gauge is easy to read.

    Get Pumped!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Solid pump for the price, love the little drawers in the handle to store small pieces and different valve heads.

    Solid Pump for the Price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It may be the cheapest and most basic Air Tower, but it does the job. I had this pump for several years and it worked great. Took it on a trip to Moab and lost a single screw after several long years of use, got home and replaced it with another one.

    Unanswered Question

I have attached the 'any valve head, it's secure and I have pumped but nothing is changing. My tire still has little air. So what am I not doing right? How long do you have to pump to get air in the tire?

    Great Pump

Great pump for the price, highly recommend it. This is kepy in the back of my car all summer and keeps the mountain bike tires air filled.

      Value Value Value

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Insane value for the price. Comes with a pressure gauge, great locking mechanism, and smart design. Can't speak for other types of tires but for any mountain bike rider this is really all you need to make adjustments. Yes like other reviewers have said you probably have to do more pumps to get the same amount of air out as other pumps but honestly it's not even close to being a big deal.

      Does the job

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Does exactly what I purchased it for. It pumps. It stands. Then it pumps some more. By no means is this a bomber, high-quality pump. It is light weight and would not win any prizes for rigidity. Although, after plenty of uses it remains predictable, and gets the job done.

      Great Pump, Great Price!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's a pump! Works like a charm and does what it needs to do.

      Good Deal...Great Pump!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Been using this about a month now & am blown away at what a nice pump this is.
I always had Silca pumps etc but was just returning to cycling after a few years off. Saw this & thought I would give it a try. Glad I did

      pumpin air for dayz.

This pump works great! The best part is, it doesn't cost a lot or money either. It has held up really well for me and my tires are ready to go within just a few pumps. It's really versatile and makes life a little bit easier since it adapts to multiple types of valves. YAY!

        Great Value!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pump has worked great and without fail every time I've used it, whether it was with my mountain bike or my motorcycle and the low price makes it even better!

        Great pump for the money

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sure, there are better pumps out there, but for the money this one does the job well. It's built solid and being able to attach it to Schrader and Presta valves without futzing around with adapters is a big plus.

        Pretty okay

If you're using a floor pump frequently you should probably shell out some cash for something a bit more sturdy. The plastic nozzle has popped apart on me a few times, which isn't a total bummer, real easy to snap it back together, but if I had like a thick pink shag carpet in my garage or whatever I might lose one of the pieces. Getting it to lock onto a presta valve has also been reasonably challenging. No buyers remorse here, though. You get what you pay for :D

          Pretty okay

          Awesome cheap pump

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Can't beat the price and it functions perfectly. Some plastic parts but seems as if it will last a long time.

          Just works!

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very cool design, it definitely stands out. The construction feels sturdy, and it has a lifetime guaranty, so that makes me sure this thing is built to last.

Maybe the only details is that the gauge could be a little bit more detail.

          Cheap Price and Quality

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I knew for the price I wasn't to expect greatness fro this pump. However, I was a little disappoint in the quality and function. The handle is definitely on flimsy end, especially for how much you have to use it. Because the actual pumping stoke is very short, you have to pump lots to get up to higher PSI. It takes a fair bit of effort to fully pump up a road bike tire.
That being said, it's a very reasonably priced pump. So if you won't be using it all that much, it's a great option

          Works well, great value

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this because it was one of the lower price point pumps on the site, but it does the job well! I commute to work on my bike and also mountain bike regularly in the summer. There's a gauge, a presta valve, everything I need. For me the best part is the bright green color so I can easily spot it in my garage full of gear.

It is great to have both valves available on one pump when you own multiple types of bikes. Smooth pump, no issues so far.
