    Vapor Carbon 1 Ski Poles

    Black Diamond designed the Vapor Carbon 1 Ski Pole for gram-counting backcountry skiers, alpinists, and mountaineers. Carbon fiber makes this pole one of the lightest poles on the market, and the Soft Touch upper extends the grip for skinning the steeps. The Vapor Carbon 1 also features two pairs of baskets for powder days and not-so powder days.

    Mine broke too

    Used them probably 5 times then broke right in half. Wasn't doing anything but normal riding in bounds and, snap, broke on me without warning. Would not recommend.

    I ordered these poles back in March. They split in half my first day using them. No excessive force, no falls, nothing unusual... just straight up split in two. Backcountry was nice enough to process an exchange. So I brought my replacement pair out to CA for the Holidays and my first shred of the season. I'm packing up my ski gear for our weekend trip to Tahoe and the replacement pair splits in two, again, BEFORE I EVEN GOT TO THE MOUNTAIN. Currently working with Backcountry Warranty to process a refund.... Carbon fiber may be light but this product can't handle the wear and tear of normal, everyday travel and use. Avoid this product, it's not worth the headache.

    Poor Quality - Black Diamond

      These Black Diamond Vapor Carbon 1 Ski poles broke the second time I used them. I had aluminum poles for five years and they never broke. I did nothing unusual. They just split in two. See attached picture.
