How many side pockets it has? Is the front pocket elastic with water drain hole? Thank you.

Hey Trailrunner thanks for the question! This pack does have a drain, and it has a total of 6 pockets. What kind of adventures are you planning on taking this pack on?

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been hiking more lately and needed a good backpack. This is it. It's a great pack to take along on a hike. Whether you're hiking for the day or staying overnight, this bag is perfect. You can fit a whole lot in it, but even if you don't have much to carry, you won't mind taking this pack because it's so comfortable and supportive. The waist strap helps a lot with support and distributing the weight. Very well made and light weight excellent day pack.

Love it!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pack quickly has become my favorite. Really helps keep me organized. Very well thought out zippered compartments on top. I've mostly used just in fall and summer. This past weekend though, I used for snowshoe trip. It was ridiculously comfortable. Even was able to stow my snowshoes for part of trip in back pouch. I didn't even notice they were there while hiking. I love that this bag allows easy access to water bottle stowed on side if not using a bladder. Love everything about this nifty little pack!

Love this Pack

I have one of theses for day hiking in CO. Holds a puffie, hat, gloves, shell, food, hydration bladder, and fits well. Very light weight too. I highly recommend it. I might even use it for mountain biking.

Thanks for the review! Super helpful to get this feedback out to the community.

Great Bag very comfy

Bought this bag for Trail running on the Appalachian Trail and short two day trips overnight. I wanted a bag that I could run with and carry my camera gear up to the views on the trail that wouldn't beat the crap out of me and my gear. This bag sinches up all of your gear and on you amazingly. I put this bag through the ringer for the month I was out running different sections of the trail. This bag was covered in sweat, rained on, tied to a tree, thrown over tree limbs, stuffed full of and had gear tied all over it and I just threw it in the shower and it looks brand new. Next trip will be a mountain bike treck through the desert but I fell this bag will do just fine.

Great Bag very comfy

Thanks for the awesome review & picture Alex!

Great backpack!!!

I bought this backpack for day hiking in the White mountain national forest. I wanted the extra room so I could carry extra water and cold weather clothing. The weather in these mountains, especially the presidential range, has the worst weather in the country. I've used this pack for two years, it's traveled many miles on my back. So far it's holding up very well. The reactive suspension is amazing it moves with you while keeping the pack centered on your back. I think that is the best feature of this pack, it's very comfortable!! The pack is big and can carry a lot of gear, clothing or whatever you need! Sometimes I carry two water bladders and i still have room for clothes and food.
The open air back panel does work. It's the only pack I've worn that feels comfortable against my back.
To sum it up, black diamond has made a great pack and I love mine! It is the best pack I own and I own five. I highly recommend this pack!! Hope this helps
