    Deluxe Cliff Cabana Double Fly

The Black Diamond Deluxe Cliff Cabana Double Fly seals securely over the Cliff Cabana Double Portaledge to provide bomber weather protection to big wall climbers who find themselves in the middle of a seriously gnarly storm. This burly fly has been put through the ringer on the Karakoram spires, Greenland walls, and Patagonia horror shows. No matter where you're climbing, the Deluxe Double Fly can take the weather. The engineers at Black Diamond know you may be spending a lot of time inside this thing, so they added plenty of pockets to help you keep everything organized.

    • This fly's single-pole design increases interior space for you and your partner
    • Ultra-durable, completely waterproof fabric handles the worst weather on Earth
    • Double doors for easy entry and exit
    • Windows allow for easy weather checks
    • Awnings with moldable copper wire in the brims allow for ventilation
    • Because you may spend a lot of time inside this, plenty of pockets help you keep everything organized
    • Reinforced corner tie-downs secure your Cabana in high winds
    • Compatible with Black Diamond Cliff Cabana Double Portaledge

BD Deluxe Fly for the Cabana Ledge

I haven't taken this outside yet, I just set it up at my local gym with the help of a local expert (thanks Scott Lappin). Be warned that the instructions are not adequate and u will have to do some problem solving to fit the fly into the ledge. Basically, I had to take apart the ledge on the 'quick corner' in order to fit the ledge inside the fly, and then re-assemble to ledge once it is inside the fly (don't forget to loosen the bed tensioners before doing this, and then re-tension once completed). BD told me that over time the fly will stretch and I will simply be able to manhandle to fly over the final corner of the ledge. Beware the ledge corners are sharp and may rip the fly if one is not careful. Once inside the ledge with this fly on, it was clear this is the fly for any conditions but a sprinkle. Unless you are macho and enjoy a higher probability of sucky condensation, less fun, and/or death, this is the fly for vertical camping in anything but perfect weather. There are other details to work out such as the the length between the fly clip in and the ledge clip in point (shoulder length sling for me), and how you might like to haul them (ledge and fly together off the same biner, not as a sausage style, for me). Great piece of gear that gives me piece of mind and flexibility concerning weather.

I bought one last year and had same prob, if you unzip both side of the fly then flip ledge on side and slide thought line up corner and it will fit tightly. Still not to stretched out

Supper burly and virtually indestructible. My only critique is that the thing is supper heavy. It is perfect for any one who wants to head to the Arctic to play on big walls, but way over kill for any one looking fro some shelter in Zion or Yosemite.

I give it 5 stars for quality and performance, however, it is over kill for most big walls.
