does the full dry come in a thicker rope?

Good rope, not accurate in the diameter

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a good rope when it comes to the price of getting an 80m, great handling, super smooth belaying, only downside is the 9.2mm is not totally accurate - it runs more like a 9.4-9.5 - which at the end of the day, it's not really going to make all that much difference. It is a great rope just something to keep in mind

Quality Light Rope

The rope is great for redpointing those sport climbing projects or cutting weight on those long multi pitches. Also, the sheath is super durable and feeds great through an ATC or Grigri for belaying. Super versatile, highly recommend.

feels nice!

Black Diamond is new to making ropes, but they've been manufacturing pretty much everything else related to climbing for quite a while, and my 80 is living up to BD's quality reputation.
A dry treated 80M option probably would have driven me to spend a couple extra bucks, but I'm sure the edurance sheath will prove durable for quite a while!

New favorite

Black Diamond's first generation of climbing ropes absolutely killed it. The handling is phenomenal, and I expect this rope to last, but only time will tell.

This is my first Black Diamond rope and my initial impressions: One of the lightest ropes on the market in comparison to the 9.2mm size 70m, 1 to 1 weave vs sheath construction which makes this a more abrasion resistant rope over other competitors, it also contains protection against weather from the inside out. This thing is amazing and worthy of ice/alpine endeavors when weight matters.
