If you're going to choose just one.

We all have our white whale, yours is just bigger, whiter, and snowier than most—we're talking about mountains, by the way. Chamonix-based Black Crows shares your obsession with skiing every day and it knows that means having a harpoon in your quiver that will pierce everything from groomers and bumps to the hardpack and slush you'll encounter off-piste on any given day. If the mountain is your white whale, consider the Camox Ski the vessel by which you'll slay that big white beast.

The Camox's mid-fat waist, semi-cap construction, and progressive Double Rocker profile lends itself well to all-mountain slaying. A 97mm waist width is narrow enough to roll from edge-to-edge on groomers, but plenty wide enough to hold its own off-piste on harder, days-old snow. Camber underfoot and tip and tail rocker make the ski stable, yet playful whether you're carving down the frontside, or skiing chalky chutes on the backside. If you're familiar with the Black Crows lineup, then you'll recognize a lot of similarities between the Camox and the Atris. In fact, the Camox is a scaled-down version of the Atris with playful poplar core and carbon, KEVLAR stringers to stiffen the ski up. Like the Atris, the semi-cap construction consists of rigid ABS sidewalls underfoot that taper into a cap construction in the tip and tail for reduced swing weight, as well as a slightly more forgiving feel, which is good when you're skiing in conditions that will swallow you whole if you mess up.

  • A solid mid-fat ski for any day on the hill
  • 97mm waist can handle a variety of conditions
  • Rockered profile eases turn initiation and floats in fresh
  • Poplar wood core is lively and playful
  • Carbon and KEVLAR stringers add strength and stiffness
  • Semi-cap construction reduces swing weight
  • Black Crows has been designing freeride machines out of Chamonix, France since 2006

Great all around ski!

You can ski everything with this ski! 10/10 would buy again!

    Killer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These skis are sick. They are to me one of the best all mountain whips out there. They kill it in all conditions, they do have tip and tail rocker so they hold up a good fit in a little bit of deeper snow. Although the tip and tail rocker make the ski ride a little smaller then it is so keep a eye out for that. Defiantly a good stick if your trying to charge hard, and kill it.

    Recommended Sizing Guide

Your ski size is largely determined by both your skiing ability and your preferred style of skiing. For example, an expert skier in Vermont will ski a far different ski than an expert in British Columbia. So take a look at our chart and explanations and find your perfect fit. Your weight also plays a large factor in finding the right ski. If you are either under or over average weight for your height consider downsizing or upsizing, respectively.
